The toilet / shower facilities are starting to look tired. The site does not have the appeal it used to: rubbish in hedges, waste bin area untidy, ground maintenance not up to the very high standard it used to be. Pitch 1 was very uneven, looks plastic matting showing above gravel. We have been coming to WRC for well over 10 years and this is the worst we've seen the site looking. Appreciate its at the end of a long season, but this has never prevented the site looking very appealing. The one positive was the menu at the Inn has improved as has the quality of the food.

Lovely site, staff helpful and happy the site is quite remote which is perfect for the quiet to enjoy the boats and wildlife on the river. Food very nice on the sites pub, does get busy though even in October when we were away. We were very lucky with weather a trip to Wroxham is well worth it. Downside needs more lights to get back to touring and camping site from main area very dark and need torch to see footpath.

Fabulous lodge which was very clean and came with every you could possibly need. All Members of staff were very polite and helpful. The onsite Inn served fabulous food at a very good price. The portions were generous.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful, couldn’t do enough for us. Was expecting a traditional country pub with an open fire but but felt more like a cafe. Food in general was good. Breakfast very nice.

The inside was modern and seemed clean enough, lots of cobwebs though and the carpet left bare feet black with dirt. The outside of the lodge needed some TLC as it seemed a bit tired and grubby. Most were very nice, but some of the staff were extremely rude and ignorant. The facilities there seemed very good and we enjoyed hiring a boat for the day.

Friendly staff and helpful. Lovely room. Didn't use the swimming pool so can't comment. Inn basic food in the evening (might be time of year in Oct)? But, breakfast very good and different size portions. Set in the countryside so need a car otherwise on looking at the boat facilities seems good and a small shop on site selling most things a boater would need.

A lovely place to stay, so quiet and the lodge was very clean and well equipped. Must come back at some point. The staff were always available, helpful and friendly. Delicious meals at the restaurant. We spent five days with family. Even the weather was kind to us. Very well done Waverney River Centre!!.

We had an enjoyable 1 week stay at Waveney River Centre. The weather was really good so that helped a lot. The lodge we hired namely the Retreat Spa 2 was ideal although the three of us are all tall people and the beds were a little on the short side due to the configurations of the bedrooms. We thought that the Waveney Inn was a tad expensive as were the groceries in the nearby shop. There was a feeling of isolation in that access to the centre was via narrow lanes and the nearest shopping area was Beccles which would have been difficult to get to without a car. The heated indoor pool was good and the location (with boating facilities) was very nice. If we lived nearer to the centre we would probably re-book another stay but as it is we had a minimum 7 hour drive by car both ways so that would rule it out.

Great location and the lodge was very comfortable. Enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub at the end of the day. The food at the Waveney Inn was reasonable but the restaurant felt a bit like a canteen. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Enjoyed having the swimming pool but it could have opened earlier for early risers. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our relaxing stay here. The weather was beautiful and the site was very quiet. We went on a walk across the reserve after being ferried across the river and staff were helpful with suggestions for where to go. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the little extras in our lodge were a pleasant surprise. We loved our hot tub, the only disappointment was that it did not reach the correct temperature until the day after we checked in and a man came and turned it off and drained it about 8:20am on our last day- we weren't due to check out until 9:30am and were about to go in it!

The site is lovely in a beautiful setting. Although we did not use the swimming pool or public house facilities the rest were very good. Disappointed that a £100.00 deposit per pitch is payable and not returned until ONE WEEK after departure if the site is satisfied with our behavior. We find this quite extreme and appreciate if certain parties may cause damage to property or disturbance that you feel this is necessary and distinguishing such parties is difficult but we feel the majority of your clients would be respectable people. A better approach maybe an agreement to hold details in the case of a dispute. So, Although we loved the site we will not be returning due to this policy.
