“Very pleasant site with good facilities Covid accepted. Our lodge Beccles was showing signs of wear and tare but was clean and comfortable and made for a relaxing weekend. We enjoyed having the day boat as well.”

“We were booked from Friday 20th -Friday 27th March. Received an email at 8.50pm on Sunday 22nd saying site was closing down as from 10am Monday 23rd. We were unsure as to whether that was for new Arrivees or all staying there. We relunctly decided, due to lack more decisive advise, to pack up and leave. We did think a personal call to us in REEDHAM would have been the correct procedure. As we were driving off, I did have a short chat with 2 WRC staff, expressing our sympathy. We have enjoyed several visits to your site and we hope to be able to return again one day.”

“This is our third time at Waveney but first time we’ve stayed in an escape pod. It was very clean and cosy and loved that it had a tv in it too and a heater If needed. So much storage space which was great for the 4 of us. We were lucky to get 2 swimming slots and found the pool area to be very clean. Unfortunately the changing rooms weren’t open as yet but that was fine for us. This time we were unable to boom for a meal at the Waveney inn but understand how busy this time of year is. It won’t be the last time we visit Waveney and recommend anyone to pay them a visit ! Happy glamping / camping 😃”

“Great stay at Waveney. We stayed in Leam lodge, spotlessly clean and great facilities in the lodge. Only one small critique was not enough hot water and second shower was permanently cold. Location of Waveney is extremely remote which was very relaxing however the website I think could be clearer how far you are from any form of eatery / major shop. The pub on site was closed Wednesday, offered no take away service and was full the rest of our stay? Huge missed opportunity for business considering Covid and also very difficult for residents who don’t want to cook every night. We were informed on check in delivery site Just Eat operates to the park but they do not so you absolutely need to be prepared. Pool and park facilities could do with a bit of an upgrade but again spotless and great fun, also very well controlled still limiting capacity, we felt very safe. Hiring a boat was superb - the service we received was incredible and again the boat was extremely clean and Covid safe. Great stay overall but could do with a bit of fine tuning. Had a blast of a holiday and thanks for looking after us.”

“From the pictures shown on the website it is misleading as it looks as if you have a big marina to look around, when in fact the main part is sectioned off as private. The showers/toilet block very clean and spacious. Did not seem enough space for children to play, the only green area other than the park, is on a slight incline, and when we stayed there were load of wasps coming out of the ground, I assume a nest is underneath it. Also very close to other tents, and Yurts seemed close as they found it hard to park with the tents so close.”

“Fantastic family break. We stayed in the house for 10 including 6 adults and 4 children of us and it was spacious, clean, and bright. Convenient location to Gt Yarmouth and Lowestoft beaches. Nice village feel and friendly atmosphere. Great that we could hire the boat which was waiting right outside the house. Easy to check in and out. We would definitely recommend Waveney River Centre.”

“We had a brilliant time glamping in our yurt and were very glad for the radiator provided! We were so close to broads and spent the days exploring the broads by foot and kayak! The staff are so friendly and the site is very clean and well organised, with great views from the Waveney inn for dinner. The indoor pool was the real cherry on the top. 100% recommended!”

“Stayed here recently for four nights. Bit annoyed we couldn’t get in till 5 pm.it was a very nice lodge with all facilities.heating good. Mostly clean but several cobwebs here and there so obviously not thoroughly cleaned. Hired a boat for two days the boat the first day was worn out and tatty floor was caving in. We complained and got an upgraded boat the next day. So good there. All in all a nice stay despite the awful weather and the horrible lanes leading up to the centre.”

“I stayed at Waveney for 2 nights with my family. The Beccles lodge was great for the four of us. My Grandad uses a wheelchair and it was perfect with ramp access, accessible bathroom with seat in the shower for him. The park has a pub, swimming pool and kids playground (none of which we actually used) book ahead if you want to eat in the pub as we couldn't get a reservation. Great place for a chilled few days!”

“Excellent little boat (Pegasus) Hired from Friday 14th Aug to Friday 21st Aug 2020 Really enjoyed it ,Shame we had no mop/brush/hook and the battery never kept its charge and when we opened the roof windows the standing rain water poured in but all considering would use Waveney Boat hire centre again”

“Stayed for weekend in a lodge. Excellent site with private hot tub. Reception staff friendly and informative. Food from Waveney Inn good and we had delivery too. We had an excellent weekend and would recommend.”

“Really enjoyed our family stay in Marsh View Spa. Very peaceful and relaxing. Lodge and hot tub great. Wildlife beautiful. Good food at the Waveney Inn and pleasant, helpfull staff. Hired a boat for the day which was a lovely day out however had quite a bit of dog hair on it but didn't spoil our day. Hired kayaks for an afternoon at a very reasonable price. Would go again.”

“Our lodge was beautifully clean with comfortable beds and big white towels - just right for the hot tub. The Covid-19 measures were working well, with were plenty of sanitiser points throughout the site. A nice peaceful and well-run enterprise. Thankyou everyone at WRC.”

“Very relaxing and quiet location. Lovely clean lodge with spacious living area and fabulous kitchen. Liam , the General Manager, was very kind and helpful sorting out a TV for my teenage son, so he could play on his Xbox that he had brought with him. All the staff were friendly and only had one problem with a beeping smoke alarm which was promptly seen to. This was our second stay and we will definitely be back.”
