Facilities are great, staff are friendly and super helpful, location is perfect and it’s so peaceful, especially in the lodges. The pub is excellent! Lovely views across the fields. Will definitely be returning!

Loved the security of the enclosed garden at the farmhouse. Spacious, hot tub, views, pool and bar/restaurant.

Plus: Dog friendly. Minus: Unfortunately the camping area was overgrown & in poor condition. The toilet/showers were not very clean either, site is looking very tired & in need of a revamp

We stayed in Bluebell lodge from Monday to Friday. The lodge was spotlessly clean and well presented. Check in was smooth and quick - the lady on the reception was very friendly and recommended we book ahead if we wanted to eat in The Waveney Inn that evening. The Inn was busy but the staff friendly and although we did have a bit of a wait for our food when it arrived it was very tasty. The lodge setting was excellent for a beautiful view across the valley. It was really quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was an added bonus - we certainly got our money’s worth! The lodges are on the other side of the site away from the camping area which I understand was slightly more noisy - however we never heard anything apart from the occasional owl! The kitchen was well-equipped with a handy pack of cloths, liquid and milk left out for us. The shop at reception has essential items but we didn’t need much as we’d brought along our own groceries - I noticed some people did have online shopping delivered right to their lodge so that’s always an option. The only suggestion I’d make is that there were some coat/towel hooks inside the lodge - some by the hot tub but we could have done with some to hang coats up and robes up in bedroom. We hired some kayaks for the day. Again the staff we friendly and helpful. The views along the river were beautiful. We got some great photos that day! I’d recommend taking some insect repellant as on an evening walk they were rife! We also planned a day at Thrigby Hall, Norwich for the castle, a puzzle room at The Guildhall and dinner at Cosmos. Take a trip up to Horsey too - it’s worth it for the seals. A super short break - just what the doctor ordered!

Very relaxing stay in Burgh Staithe Spa

It is such a lovely site and had such a friendly and family orientated atmosphere with the added bonus of having a swimming pool. The only criticism I have is that the touring pitches were in need of a tidy up, by means of trimming the surrounding bushes, removing vast amounts of stinging nettles and also the grass in between the pitches needed cutting. Other than that the stay was very pleasant.

lovely location, friendly staff, unfortunately let down by excessive heat in the bedroom (engine room) caused i think by kitchens underneath unfortunately as reception was closed, there was no one to report it to, so an uncomfortable night, i would stop again, but not in that room unless a/c was fitted mentioned to reception the next morning, ' oh yes, quite a few have said that'

Great facilities outside of the lodges and friendly staff. Lodges spacious and well equipped and lovely hot tubs and we had great views in Bungay. The kids loved the safety and security of the roads to practice their cycling. Only downside was "double" bed in master bedroom was tiny. Would have been happy with just the one bathroom and a much larger bed as we hardly got any sleep!

This was my 3rd stay with our caravan and we love it, it’s quiet and safe , and it’s small enough that you always bump into the same faces when swimming , washing up or at the park for kids , facilities were clean as per usual and all staff are really friendly

Canoing on the river. Good showers. Not so good - small pitch sizes.

A lovely stay and a lovely campsite. Slight issue/incident which was dealt with extremely well and to our satisfaction by the manager Mark. Highly recommended family campsite. Thank you.

Peaceful, relaxing site. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great food and drink at the onsite pub. Clean, comfortable accommodation. We enjoyed seeing all the birds on the bird feeder outside our lodge.

What a peaceful lovely spot of the country! Facilities were clean, up to date and I loved the shower/toilet area for being private. We stayed in a yurt which was great apart from the pesky ants!! Maybe a food storage box would be a good addition? We had an issue with some very noisy neighbours (a large group of 40) but security were on it and the management dealt with the issue swiftly! We have booked in a lodge next year!

3rd time here and can’t fault it. Twice camping and once in a yurt. Quite a small compact site but the setting is lovely. Kids love the playground and swimming. Facilities are top notch. Toilet facilities are the best I’ve used. Always had a good exerience in Waveney Arms. The ladies on Reception and shop (well stocked) are friendly and helpful. We’ll be back!

The mixture of accommodation options meant that we could get together with friends( tourer pitch, tent pitch, yurt and mooring)

We love the site. Have been twice and will definitely be back. Pitch size good (Coot 4) and friendly staff. Kids love the playground and the bunnies running around. The swimming pool is a huge bonus. Only thing is the water taps are quite far away depending on where you are and the showers could be better maintained during the day as sometimes not up to scratch. Also some shower rooms did not have a shelf for shampoo etc and maybe a little grate or something to stand on so not standing on the floor directly would be good. Thanks Waveney - the Dearn's x
