“Beautiful location right on the river. We stayed in a three bedroom lodge and it was lovely, very clean, great hot tub and everything that you could need. The master bedroom was a good size, however the other bedrooms were small, and not ideal for a couple, just needed some extra storage. The staff were all very friendly, and enjoyed a great day on our boat trip, although we would say ask which way to go. I would definitely recommend for a UK staycation.”

“Very enjoyable short break with well maintained accommodation. The day boat hire caused a problem in that two boats broke down (it happens) and we successful with the third (upgrade)”

“Quiet location that is perfect for relaxing. Clean and spacious lodge with easy check in/out procedures. Late check in of 5pm could be earlier and the early checkout of 9:30am is very early when you consider most hotels allow you there until 11. Comfy beds and the showers are great! Plenty of mod cons too. Is my second time here and would return again. Thank you.”

“It was a very peaceful relaxing visit. Staff we came across were friendly. In current situation everything was very well organised. I felt our accommodation was not worth the cost, (Somerleyton) there was nothing in the lodge which made it extra special to warrant extra cost.”

“Second visit to Waveney River Centre and we really enjoyed it. The Waveney Inn food is excellent, perhaps just some updating with the interior. Understand it is hard at the moment with Covid and thank you for keeping us safe. Some parts of the sites landscape looked like they could do with a tidy up around the lodge. The lodge it self was very clean, but some minor maintenance required”

“We love this place and would have given 5 stars had it not been for the pool attendant with the bad attitude. We have 2 very young children and as any parent knows, getting children dressed after swimming is a nightmare. We totally understand the need for the changing rooms to be closed at the moment and so equipped ourselves with dressing gowns etc, but having the attendant opening the door to the pool (whilst the external doors are also open) and making the kids cold does not help, and then to get attitude makes an already stressful situation worse. A real shame as the kids love swimming but only allowing half an hour slots and then pressuring guests to leave is not a nice thing to experience. One more thing, the drink water tap is not fit for purpose.”

“Lovely place with perfect views and good facilities, shame couldn’t use the swimming pool changing rooms/shower but could use shower block across from the pool just meant a mad dash in wet costumes & towels to get changed again. Had a lovely weekend.”

“short stay of 4 nights in lodge with hot tub. lovely site clean lodge & any problems sorted out very quickly. Hot tub was a fun addition. would recommend the site to anyone. obviously limited to coronovirus regulations but dealt with very well.”

“Awful we stayed in the PENTHOUSE which you expect to be quality special and luxury what we got was dirty flush the toilet it floods the bathroom, kitchen was filthy fridge shelfs didnt fit in the fridge, kettle was covered in fat and oil and food splattered all over it bugs on the blinds patio doors look like they are falling off which could give someone with a bad heart a heart attack, patio/balcony flooded and dangerous, bedroom light over dressing table missing switch, no light on half the balcony. We stayed 1 night and refused to stay any longer, no WiFi as advertised. Just an awful experience on our 30th Wedding anniversary i did not expect to have to move to a different holiday resort will definitely not go back and will put my experience on my social media and the NHS forum”

“Your lodges and boat hire are great and we had a lovely weekend, although just a couple of points to make, the on suite shower In Herringfleet Lodge was too hot and could not turn it down and there was a tiny spider infestation near the window which has hopefully now having been cleaned has been removed. Thank you for a great weekend.”
