You didn’t make me happy! As Wightlink have a virtual monopoly on ferry travel to the IoW, they can charge what they think they can get away with. Far too expensive for the distance travelled.

Hi there I'm sorry you're unhappy with the fare you paid to travel. There are a number of ways customers can save on their vehicle fares. Generally speaking, the earlier you book the lower the fare will be and fares may increase in line with demand for that crossing. This means we're able to offer lower fares for those sailings that fewer customers have reserved, which may be found by being more flexible with dates, routes or times of sailings. It can also be worth visiting our 'Discounts and offers' webpage to see if there's a deal you can take advantage of (hover over the 'Go' menu on our website). A very popular offer is to convert Tesco Clubcard vouchers into Boost tokens as Tesco offer 3 x times the value of vouchers to spend with us. If you tend to stay for longer than a day on the Isle of Wight, it could also be worth checking with your hotel or accommodation provider to see if they offer reduced ferry deals - some may even include ferry travel as part of their packages (we have a section dedicated to our accommodation partners on our website). Finally, you may want to consider signing up on our website to receive our emailed newsletters to be kept informed of various news, events and any special offers we may run from time to time. Way too expensive and ferry unable to dock at fishbourne for an hour. Wasted our time and made us late. Also 45 minutes late on returning

Dear Martin I was sorry to read there was disruption to our services when you travelled and apologise for the poor service you have reported. In general delays are rare and 99.5% of services on our Portsmouth car ferry route were on time last month. I appreciate this will come as little comfort as you were one of the few customers who have been affected. Sorry again for the inconvenience caused by these delays.

Hello Samantha We have a dedicated reduced mobility and accessible travel helpline and customers can also contact us from our accessible travel page. We recommend customers and groups with particular needs contact our team in advance, so we can discuss what help and facilities are available on our services.

There was a technical fault on another ship. Instead of moving that ship out of the way while they fixed the fault, they kept us waiting for over an hour. This was not a good way to manage the incident.

Dear Hugh My apologies for the delay to your sailing with us. Generally we do our best to manage disruption in the best way possible for our customers. There may be occasions where a ship has to stay in port because the mechanical problem makes it unsafe to sail, or because we think that ferry will be ready to run the next trip and may have more capacity for waiting customers. Sorry again for the inconvenience caused.

Hello, I am sorry this was your experience. Generally we do our best to communicate when there is a problem and have a travel alert system to advise customers of delays by text and email. Sorry if we got it wrong this time.
