Whitelink run a pleasant and efficient service to the Isle of Wight, I have always considered the journey across the Solent to be the actual start of the holiday.

A very good vfm service. Every time we use it it has always run to time and they are flexible and allow ferry transfers if there is available space.

We travel to the Isle of Wight a few times a year, always using the Wightlink car ferry. We find the service is well run and efficient. We also appreciate that, as we travel 2 hours to reach the port, if we arrive early and it is possible, we'll be put on an earlier service. David from Kent

Poor because the 0800 Portsmouth - Fishbourne Ferry Sunday 30 September was delayed, despite the signage saying 'Running on Time' - no communication from any Wightlink staff at all. We were heading for a christening and arrival was therefore delayed and we were anxious as we did not know when we would sail. The signage even changed to 'next sailing 0900' before we even saw the 0800 ferry! The ferry did arrive about 0825 (with consequential late departure) but lack of communication is a regular occurrence. Even on the website the latest service update was 1757 (or so) the previous day - no use at all!
