“I use to order from Woman Within quite often. Loved the look and fit of the items I received. It had been a long time since I had ordered from them. It seems that a lot has changed, unbeknownst to me.
It took over 3 weeks to get my order complete. One item had been put on "backorder". An email was evidently sent. I did not see it. I was getting sales ads every day. They sent an email that said my order was on backorder. The next day, there was an email that said my item was now available and would be sent. I checked my order status under my account and IT showed it had been canceled. I called and they had canceled my order because I paid with PayPal. I had to reorder my item, which was NOW back in stock and pay with a different method. I had to "fight" to get the same deal I had the first time with free shipping and sale price, even though they had canceled my order, not me. I had also received a "Thank you for your order" catalog which showed the same sale price AND free shipping.
I did finally get my order complete for the price I expected. I will never order from WW again. I was pretty disappointed in the whole experience.”
“I do like the shorts I received, however one pair was on backorder for over 80 days. Customer service is difficult to work with. The membership fee (which I did not request was $ 14.95 per month and non- refundable . Will never order from this company again.”
“I've had trouble in the past with slow order fulfillment and not being able to find what I wanted, but this time I was happy with my order. It came quickly, six days from the time I ordered.”
“Out of date styles, sizing off, and the biggest issue is they charge ridiculous shipping prices and God forbid you have to return something. I had their credit card and cancelled it. Save your money girls,”
“Evil company. Refuses returns if more than 60 days, even though I had to wait 90 days to get an item that was "on back order". See they make you wait 90 days to get your item from them, but if I'm out of the country on business and it's 61 days since my items were delivered, I'm stuck with them all.”
“My mother was charged $2.99 extra by Woman Within just to send her a bill in the mail. Most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of. I’ve never been charged extra to send me a bill by a company I ordered from. She cancelled her card. I know $2.99 isn’t a lot but it’s the principle of it”
“This company is a "bait and switch" store. The prices in their catalog are not the same as those "online" which are more expensive. Also, the catalog shows more colors/prints than when you go to order out of the catalog using their online ordering the variety is limited. I have ordered in the past got the wrong item, returned it never got what I ordered. Once ordered an item their site said it hadn't been shipped after several month contacted them by phone was told I received it but it still showed not shipped. Finally had to contact the bank handling their credit card to get the charge off my account. Just not a transparent business, deceptive with pricing, etc. Not worth the trouble.”
“DECEPTIVE exchange policy!! Exchanging through thevpostal mail is NOT FREE as is printed on the return/exchange label & has no address to mail it to! So I called & was told I must pay $10.99 to exchange it anyway because "that's our policy." $10.99 ISNT FREE & customers shouldn't have to pay TWICE for processing/shipping! DECEPTIVE! They bombard you with emails & postal mail too! Woman Within just lost another customer!”
“My wife ordered 1 shirt and pants. She was offered a free cooler bag with a purchase of $50 or more. Surprise surprise. When she placed the order... the shirt was out of stock even though when she purchased it, it showed IN stock. Needless to say. The cooler bag got canceled because of the backordered shirt. I think they call that bait & Switch.! Offer something that can't be given!!! Really bad customer service!!!”
“I will NEVER order from this place again. 1st of all I did NOT get what I ordered, they sent the correct picture of my order, but sent a totally different colored shirt, her excuse was to disregard the picture because it is a "cover" pic. What the heck does that mean!!!!! I wanted the blue shirt, it showed the blue shirt on the email they sent me, but it is a pink shirt!!! And to get codes to return, I have to go into a ups place so they print my labels. I don't have a ups ANYWHERE NEAR ME She wouldn't even offer sending the correct one, then have me return, she told me she would have to charge me AGAIN. I told her forget it. This is a place I will never come back to.”
“Uncompassionate Return Policy and Poor Customer Support
My family had a heartbreaking experience with this company that I feel others should be aware of. A close relative of mine ordered over $500 worth of products in hopes of using them for water-based physical therapy. Sadly, she became ill shortly after ordering and passed away before she was even able to open the boxes.
When we finally had time to sort through her affairs and contact the company, we were told we had missed their 60-day return window — and that nothing could be done. I explained the situation and asked to speak with a supervisor. I left my number and waited two weeks for a call back. When I was finally contacted, the supervisor simply gave me another number to call, which led to more runaround. I was connected with a sales representative instead of someone who could actually help, and once again told that no one would authorize a return or refund.
Even after explaining the exceptional and devastating circumstances, we received no empathy, no flexibility, and no resolution. This is a large company, and nearly every call seems to be routed overseas, where representatives read from scripts and are unable to make real decisions or escalate issues meaningfully.
It’s deeply disappointing that such a large and well-resourced company cannot show basic compassion. I’m sharing our story to warn others: this company sticks rigidly to its policies, no matter the situation, and its customer service is slow, unresponsive, and ultimately unhelpful.”
“I placed an order for $192.45 on April 3.
The order was shipped to South Carolina.
I do not live in South Carolina.
I have contacted Customer Service 3 times and each time I am told that I do live in South Carolina and that I have received the order.
I have asked to speak to a Supervisor - there is never one available and they tell me one will call me back. No one has called me back.
They have stolen $192.45 from me. They refuse to refund the money and they will not correctly send the merchandise.
I have never dealt with a company that feels it is acceptable to take money from people and not provide them with the product they ordered.
Do not order from them, they will steal your money.”
“Horrible customer service, lies on chat to shut you up.. claim they can initiate exchange but then never do. Still haven't received the correct item. They sent refund.. would not recommend”
“Posting on behalf of my wife. She has ordered regularly from WW and I have bought Christmas gifts for her from there as well. If I could give them a negative 10, I would. She ordered some clearance items after Christmas, they showed them delivered but the address on the map showed it was 7 blocks away. They refilled the order and shipped and again they show it delivered and it is nowhere to be found. This time they cannot produce anything that shows where it was delivered. Their response? They offered a 90 percent refund. No clothing and they keep 10 percent? Seriously? Absolutely horrible.”
“If I could give WW zero stars or even a minus amount of stars, I would. I had ordered some products (one of many many orders I have made) and the charge showed up on my credit card but I never received the order. I called to get information and I was shocked when the foreign customer representative asked for my SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!!!! What on earth? I refused. I had an interruption in my home but called back. I was told by the second foreign sounding representative that I had refused the order and it was sent back and I was to be charged approximately $20. When I refuted it, she told me the date. I was literally with my husband at the hospital during that day as he was recuperating from open heart surgery and I neither accepted or rejected the order. But yet I am stuck with the return postage. I’m totally disappointed and would advise everyone to make sure the product they have ordered is reflected on their credit card bill. And maybe you could decide whether or not WW is a company you want to deal with.”
“Woman Within has gone DOWN HILL. They sent me wrong item. When I tried to return....item. they want to CHARGE ME RETURN SHIPPING. I am recovering from shoulder replacement surgery and cannot go to ship item. They finally emailed me a return label ...no free shipping....but an e-card to buy from them again......with shipping.
I have been a customer for years. NO MORE. when I get their catalogs....they will straight into the TRASH CAN. When I called them....I was disconnected 3 times, before I got help.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND..... DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.”
