Really poor. Bought 2 books from this company one was described as very good and the other good condition. Both were in very poor condition with the latter book actually showing pages literally about to fall out of the book. Have fedback to World of Books but no response yet. Would not buy from them again - AVOID.

l purchased a travel book on Prague and when l received my order, the book had the pages stuck together. I tried to separate the pages with a letter opener and some of the print was distorted. This was my first order and l am clearly appointed at the experience.

My rating is because of a mix up with my address which could have been easily rectified. Instead the books were returned to the PO and I am still awaiting a refund almost a month after I purchased the books. I will not be using this service again.

This companies a joke,they send wrong version in a really bad state and then never reply to e mail or answer phone to return

I was disgusted with the price l paid for the state of the books. I.e coffee stains in the middle pages . Tatty eadges of the books. Some of them were library books . I paid for at least nearly new books not books l felt were not even good enough for the charity shop. I complained and was requested to pay for the postage and packaging cause I had thrown away the original packaging. World books refused to refund the postage and packaging. They wouldn't even offer compansation. I would never recommend world of books to anyone. Expensive lesson to learn.

When book was received it had a 50p sticker attached and cover was torn!!! I was shocked at the thought of paying £2.69 for a book that cost 50p unknown to me.

My account states that my order is complete. It is not. I have completed a complaint form TWICE and I have not had a reply. I continue to wait for the second book - Rosamunde Pilcher, The Shell Seekers. I wish I had not used 'World of Books' and will not use it again. I will also inform friends and family of this bad experience and I would advice anyone to just purchase their books from second hand shops and markets. It seems that I have lost my money on this purchase as no one is making any effort to contact me with regards to this problem. I am very disappointed with the service.

Terrible service. I ordered two books that were supposed to be in 'very good condition'. The first book arrived within a couple of days and was in poor condition. Lots of pages dog eared, passages of text underlined in ink, the book was generally scruffy, definitely not as indicated. The second book still hasn't arrived and it is now 8 weeks to the day when I placed the order. I have sent several e-mails but they haven't bothered to acknowledge my complaint let alone investigate it. Phoning the company only lets you leave a voice message. Terrible.

Ordered 3 different books. Recieved one very quickly but the other 2 did not arrive until bring chased after the suggested 8 working days. To be fair World of Books replied promptly but I then recieved 2 copies of same book! No reply to an e-mail to Customer Services and then after chasing up via the website was advised that the outstanding book had been subject to a "high volume of orders in seconds" thus no further stock being available. Why this wasn't mentioned at the time of placing the order or when I first chased this up was not clear or explained.

I was excited to order from world of books and expected for the price (only slightly lower than rrp) that the books would be in good condition. 4 out of 6 of the books I received were not in a resale condition at all. Rips and tears along with 2 of them broken at the spine. I specifically ordered hardback for my 12 month old and was sent paperback. Apparently somewhere in the small print they can send whatever they like. Wont be ordering again.

Awful seller. Consistently overrates quality of their books. Their website states a book rated "very good" will come with a dustjacket. Mine did not come with one and featured extensive scratching on the cover. Items arrive in thin plastic sleeve. Seller does not respond to emails. Awful customer service. Buy from someone else.

After 3 e mails unanswered, and numerous unanswered calls I finally got hold of someone who informed me that my order wasn’t being processed as you didn’t have my book. You didn’t bother to tell me or refund my money , until I contacted you. So I suppose you would of kept my money and it would of been forgotten. A totally bad experience.
