Have already written to you concerning 3 hardback Alison muir books as in their descriptions but received paperbacks one of poor quality of the paper back cover. Ok you said to post them back but isn’t worth the money. So disappointed with you and never got a second reply. Ordered hardback editions but received paperback editions. Have emailed World of Books three times over the last month to try to get the problem corrected and have received no response to date. I have been unable to find a phone number anywhere so emails that are ignored seem to be my only option. Very dissatisfied.

Extremely negligent customer service. Their collection indeed seems vast and I anticipated a wait for my order since it is a UK-based company. However, the website is lacking in terms of shipping information beyond the generic ETA of 6-10 business days for which they do not specify if they mean shipping locally or internationally. They will not respond to inquiries regarding how much longer one should expect to wait after the 10th day has passed. At this point I'm not expecting to ever receive my order and have opened a case with Paypal to begin fighting for a refund. The prices were cheap but it's still not low enough to excuse the failure to deliver a product.

I received half my order, with an invoice that had an item on it that I did not receive, and received an item that was not on the invoice. Then I had an email that said the last item was shipped, which was the item not on the invoice. This second package never turned up.I am still missing 2 items. I have sent 3 emails requesting help over a few weeks and never received a reply. An awful experience which I have no intention of repeating.

Really poor. Bought 2 books from this company one was described as very good and the other good condition. Both were in very poor condition with the latter book actually showing pages literally about to fall out of the book. Have fedback to World of Books but no response yet. Would not buy from them again - AVOID.

l purchased a travel book on Prague and when l received my order, the book had the pages stuck together. I tried to separate the pages with a letter opener and some of the print was distorted. This was my first order and l am clearly appointed at the experience.

My rating is because of a mix up with my address which could have been easily rectified. Instead the books were returned to the PO and I am still awaiting a refund almost a month after I purchased the books. I will not be using this service again.

I was disgusted with the price l paid for the state of the books. I.e coffee stains in the middle pages . Tatty eadges of the books. Some of them were library books . I paid for at least nearly new books not books l felt were not even good enough for the charity shop. I complained and was requested to pay for the postage and packaging cause I had thrown away the original packaging. World books refused to refund the postage and packaging. They wouldn't even offer compansation. I would never recommend world of books to anyone. Expensive lesson to learn.

When book was received it had a 50p sticker attached and cover was torn!!! I was shocked at the thought of paying £2.69 for a book that cost 50p unknown to me.

My account states that my order is complete. It is not. I have completed a complaint form TWICE and I have not had a reply. I continue to wait for the second book - Rosamunde Pilcher, The Shell Seekers. I wish I had not used 'World of Books' and will not use it again. I will also inform friends and family of this bad experience and I would advice anyone to just purchase their books from second hand shops and markets. It seems that I have lost my money on this purchase as no one is making any effort to contact me with regards to this problem. I am very disappointed with the service.

Terrible service. I ordered two books that were supposed to be in 'very good condition'. The first book arrived within a couple of days and was in poor condition. Lots of pages dog eared, passages of text underlined in ink, the book was generally scruffy, definitely not as indicated. The second book still hasn't arrived and it is now 8 weeks to the day when I placed the order. I have sent several e-mails but they haven't bothered to acknowledge my complaint let alone investigate it. Phoning the company only lets you leave a voice message. Terrible.
