“Placed an order 10 days ago and paid extra for next working day shipping - all I have had so far is a tracking number that says not dispatched and no reply to my email to customer services. So a definite 1 star for this shambles and would strongly recommend avoiding as plenty of good UK online retailers.”

“Twice my order has been messed up. Firstly due to item not being in stock after i had already paid for it, secondly due to wrong colour item delivered. Would sadly steer clear of this company in the future.”

“Ordered on the 15th December, never received email confirmation. Supposedly 3 - 5 days delivery, never received my item. Very disappointing as it was, a Christmas present. Just called today 27th December, to be told they refunded me on the 18th as the item was out of stock. I should of had an email of confirmation, but nothing. Just looked on line and the top is available in all sizes, so how can this be available still. If I had know I would of gone and purchased something else as I would of had time to do so. But I kept thinking it would arrive. Won't ever use them again.”

“Appalling service. My order was delivered to the incorrect address nearly 3 weeks ago. The photograph taken by DPD is not my house!!!!! I have telephoned several times, emailed and my case is under investigation.... I have requested a full refund, but am still waiting... They should not be allowed to keep peoples money and not refund in a reasonable time frame. This was Christmas presents, which I explained and still no refund!!!! I will never buy anything from American Golf again.”

“Ordered on 4 December. Still not received a confirmation or delivery but as others have said the money has been taken. Have only received an email to say how busy they are. Very disappointing service.”

“Appalling company. Liars, cheats and conmen. There are many other golf goods providers out there. Please don’t buy from this shower. When they claim they dispatch items it’s a lie. They don’t send but still take your money. This is fraud.”

“Ordered had no emails rung to see where order was on day 15 and was told out of stock and refunding as issue will all Apple Pay’s. Online still allowing you to buy. I told the company this sounds fraudulent that they keep hold of your money until request refund. Do not use”

“Please don't use american golf, they are an appalling company. Especially online, how on earth are they allowed to trade? I can't believe a legitimate online company can take payment but you get nothing in return except a confirmation of order! You will have to chase your order and make many calls. At this stage I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I receive my refund. I paid for next day delivery, after chasing my order I was informed I would have to wait at least 3 days! I hope this review saves a few honest customers out there from being totally and completely ripped off. A totally shambolic experience”

“Can’t fault the stock levels or communication of delivery as per many others. However if you use EVRI for your next day delivery service (AG) then I am not surprised your customer service is over-whelmed. Garmin GPS watch left in a general reception and post collection are to the block of flats. No attempt to contact, no attempt to deliver and no signature as per AG process. Guess what, parcel wasn’t there when we received delivery mail with photo and no sign of it since. Can’t get through to customer service and no-one has any interest in a lost delivery if 3-5 days is best response you can do. Well I did not receive it, I did not sign for it and your courier company failed miserably. I will expect a full refund as you don’t have a signature from me.”

“Horrendous service! bought an in-stock club and paid for next-day delivery (within American golf's next-day cut-off times). The club never arrived. Automated email back saying out of stock, on the evening of the day it was meant to arrive. However, is still showing in stock on the website. THIS COMPANY HAS GONE TO THE DOGS!”

“To echo the reviews here, very bad service. Ordered two putters online & paid for on a Friday. Full Ordered cancelled on a Monday while I have to wait on €700 + refund for another 5 days with a cryptic reason given for cancellation . Very poor service .”

“Ordered a new driver after 4pm so knew it would not arrive the next day, but would have thought it would arrive the day after. No shipping confirmation arrived, to be told the item was being dispatched from one of the stores, the lady in customer services checked if they had sorted this out....No. Order cancelled. Very disappointed. Order now placed with a competitor.”

“Worst customer service/ communication from any company I have ever dealt with, ordered some golf balls on Dec 19th and paid for next day delivery as they were a Xmas present. Tracking stated delivery on Dec 21st, never arrived and no further tracking updates. Emailed, messaged and called AG and received automated replys stating 48 to 72hrs for reply. I eventually managed to get thru to customer service phone line and was told I'm not entitled to any refunds not even the next day delivery as they had despatched them next day!!! Correct me if I'm wrong but I paid for next day delivery not Despatch.... No further updates received via email, luckily I paid via PayPal so opened a case with them, 16 days later I received the refund but no communication whatsoever from AG, absolute disgrace I will never shop with them again, unfortunate as I was scheduled for a club fitting but I'll now take my business elsewhere. Avoid at all costs”
