“I had a very similar experience to many of the people on this site. I ordered a dress and being that the size was too small I returned it to Apricot. Weeks went by and yet I had not received a refund so I contacted Apricot to inquire but they claimed they never received the product and told me I needed to provide them with proof that it has been mailed. So I contacted the mail carrier I used and they were able to give me written confirmation that it was in fact delivered. I forwarded all of the documentation to Apricot but they ignored my email. I contacted them several times after this but I have yet to receive a response. I am never shopping here again.”

Placed an order which qualified for free delivery. No notification of the 1 item not being available and only AFTER ORDER placed did confirmation show item missing and a delivery charge because didn't meet free delivery amount. Tried again and same thing happened!! No telephone number to explain and cancel 2nd order ...and email/form takes over a week to respond to be told NOT their error as it wouldn't do that (I can assure you it did!!) so now not only inconvenienced as need to take back to store but also out of pocket. Also had an issue in Cardiff store where they gave wrong internet order...had to take all the way back to store to explain and swap where the girl who made mistake couldn't care less and no apology. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!”
“I purchased some clothing from Apricot in Broadway Bradford. However the smart plazzo trousers i purchased were not fit for purpose. Within 5 minutes of wearing them they looked awful; unsightly creasing in the groin, waist and knee. These were the first clothes I have bought since covid due to limited finances. I attempted to return instore, was told I cant as I had worn them. I emailed Apricot and was told they can't deal with instore purchases but no guidance was given on alternative complaints by anyone. I don't have the funds to replace these.”
“Awful customer service! Sent me a faulty item and haven’t refunded me the full amount and are ignoring my emails. I’ve now had to dispute the transaction with my bank and have reported to trading standards.”

Even then, messages are not read/replied to or even acknowledged!
Refunds are not processed automatically or even generated.

“Retuned a £35 dress which hasn’t been refunded. No response to a message sent through their website, nor to an email I sent to their ‘customer service’ email address. There’s no other way to contact them (no phone no, etc.). DON’T BOTHER BUYING FROM THEM”
“I spend a lot at this stote in Hempsted Valley brought white blouse when I went to wear it out the sleeves were tight I took it back to the store with receipt the manager just said where is the tag I told her I had the receipt she said its their policy is I must give the tag in too. No apology attitude was non sympathetic I spen a lot in that store, not anymore. My husband had our blue bin out and we found it. I will return it tomorrow for a refund that will be the last time I shop in Apricot.”

“I went into the merryhill store today for new clothes for a new job the sales lady was absolutely brilliant so patient and so understanding that I was after a look not quite what I’m used to wearing …..she was absolutely brilliant it says Karen on my receipt but two ladies served me but the lady was very bubbly with silver/white bobbed hair I can’t thank her enough for her help today absolutely 5star service and so helpful”

“I went to the Apricot store in festival place, Basingstoke today and was blown away by Monika's customer service. She went over and above to help me and another customer in the changing rooms. She even suggested a dress for me, which I loved and ended up purchasing. Her eye for detail and customer service was outstanding! She definitely has amazing skills and deserves recognition for her dedication. I have worked in retail myself for many years and know people like this are very rare to find. Thanks Monika you truely are a special person.”

Checked the RM tracking to discover it had been delivered and signed but not by me or anyone in my house. RM told me to contact Apricot. Hmmm!! No response in 10 days to any of my emails. No parcel and out of pocket £44. A shameful company to be avoided at all costs.”
