I was delivered the wrong bath ! After informing the Exeter Branch, i was informed they would contact the supplier for a replacement, and ring me back. 3 times i was told this each time i rang. The person told me it was on his to do list. Meanwhile i had bathroom fitters waiting for a bath. After i blew my stack on the phone in frustration. I was told the supplier had none in stack, and i was offered a refund which i accepted. this took 2 days and a number of calls. This left me extremely frustrated and angry and without a bath !!

Hi Mr Moir, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, I'm sorry to hear your order did not go smoothly. I apologise for the incorrect bath being ordered originally. Just to confirm your order was originally delivered on 8th September, once you contacted the Exeter store on the same day you were informed the lead time for the bath would be 7-10 working days, this is due to the product being out of stock with our supplier. It was 10th September when you contacted the Exeter store again enquiring about when the bath would be delivered, at this point you were asked whether you wanted to receive the bath at the lead time originally stated or receive a refund. You chose to receive a refund which was processed, our refund policy states all refunds are processed within 14 days. If you would like to discuss this further please don't hesitate to get in touch. BEWARE The Aftersales terrible even after you have spent thousands of £££’s didn’t want a refund wanted to exchange and was willing to transport the goods ourselves from Essex to Bristol. Would not recommend this company.

We have looked into the points raised and would like to clarify the situation. As per our terms and conditions that you agreed to during checkout, you have 14 days from date of delivery to notify us of an intention to return an incorrect or unwanted item. As you notified us that you had ordered the incorrect item outside of this time we were unable to accept the return on this occasion. As a gesture of good will our team did refer this situation to the manufacturer to see if they would accept it back on this occasion. As you had already removed all the packaging and banding the item was no longer in a resalable condition and so they were not able to accept it back. Steer well clear. Bought a path panel which started peeling paint within a few weeks. When I raised the matter this week with the same person on the same email address under the same branding as when I bought the product he told me the business had gone into a pre-pack administration and the new owner would not replace the panel. It seems that the new owners of the Bathroom Village brand are happy to see its reputation tank. NOT TO BE TRUSTED

I received my second ( first unit impact damaged ) and spent time and money re-fixing the back panel as it was hanging off despite a Chinese quality control sticker. re-pinned and glued it myself. Re-position the middle drawer rails as it was dragging on the lower drawer head. Lubricate the roller gear for the drawers as sticking. Looking to replace the cheap drawer chrome finished and chrome peeling pull handles after one week. The top drawer had the edge missing by bad machining . Altogether a cheap Chinese piece of rubbish. I even had to replace the pinned nylon feet to the base with rubber door stops to ensure effectiveness. DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE.

Going into administration and taking my money is unlikely to encourage a positive review! Am £400 out of pocket and nothing except a note from the administrator to show for it. I hope the directors who fleeced the company spend some serious time at Her Majesty’s pleasure!!!

This is because our company is being bought out by another company, Unity Bathrooms. As you are aware this situation has come about due to a former Director who has misappropriated Company funds. However, as investigations are on-going, we are very limited on what we can say whilst proceedings are still active. Goods arrived but the bath panels were slightly too high for the bath. I called and emailed the company within the 7 day return window several times with no response to emails or messages. I had to log a PayPal dispute last month and await the outcome of that in a few days time. I would not recommend this company as I have nearly £200 worth of useless bath panels with, as yet, no way of returning them.

we order a showers screen only to be told a week later that the company has gone into administration...They took our money knwoing that they would never dliver the product. the funny thing is they are still tradding WTF!!!!!! Scum bag company...AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Andrew, Currently Bathroom Village is being bought out by another company, Unity Bathrooms and while the legal side is going through, we are afraid that we are unable to process any refunds. Unfortunately, this situation has come about due to a former Director who has misappropriated Company funds. However, as investigations are on-going, we are very limited on what we can say whilst proceedings are still active. Your bank will be able to assist with the chargeback request. Extremely disappointed with the service. After ordering a toilet seat which unfortunately did not fit my toilet I tried to return it but was unable to due to the fact that I do not have a camera and if I did I am unable to put photos on the computer. I was told this was the only way to return items and therefore I am stuck with a toilet seat I cannot use and you have my money. I certainly wouldn't recommend your company for this reason.

Disaster from beginning to end. Ordered items only to discover there was a 14 days delivery time, they arrived at their couriers 4 weeks later and took another week to be delivered. Both items arrived after 5 weeks waiting and were damaged beyond use. Bathroom Village weren't answering calls or emails so took 10 days to reach someone to request a return. They never arranged collection and 7 days later when I chased collection I was told they were in receivership. That's the only good part because now my credit card is helping get my £1200 back.

I am waiting for a refund but as you've gone into liquidation I'm going to have to go through my credit card company to get my money back- IF I get my money back. NOT HAPPY

dreadful communication, items not sent when already pre-arranged, continued chasing for items to be delivered, no notification when items are delayed beyond the initial delay dates, very frustrating company to deal with, still waiting for items purchased in June !!, plumbers having to make multi trips for installation increasing costs to be paid by me

We have looked into the points that you have raised and are sorry that you have been frustrated by the service you have received. Just to confirm ..... You have stated that items did not arrive that were pre-arranged. As per your email to us 19/7 you thought that you were missing items from the order that you were expecting. We clearly stated that the only items that were missing from the order were the items that were out of stock with the manufacturer that you were made aware of after placing the original order. You were sent an additional email containing the revised dates of the items that you were waiting on, did this come through to you?? Throughout the whole process we have part dispatched your order to you to ensure that as soon as items were available they were sent on to you to avoid any further delays. This was at additional expense to us. You have said that you have incurred additional charges from your installer. As stated in our terms and conditions that you agreed during checkout we strongly recommend that you do not arrange any fitters or installers prior to receiving your goods as unexpected delays can occur or items can sometimes arrive faulty/damaged. This will mean that we would be able to rectify any issues for you prior to installation and so no additional costs would be incurred. Why would you arrange for installers to fit goods that you haven't received? We are concerned that you have said you are still awaiting for items from your order. We can confirm that your order has been fully processed and dispatched from our warehouse. From the tracking information provided by the courier all deliveries have been delivered and signed for. Please give us a call if this is not the case and we will be more then happy to follow this up for you. We hope that your bathroom renovation is going well and as planned. The company has a very restrictive return policy which is not clearly noted. This takes advantage on anyone having deliveries to a construction site, and unable to check the delivers within the 14 day period. The company then charges 35% restocking charge! Great for them as they can make more money off an item at the consumers expense!

Thanks for taking the time to write this review and sorry to hear that you have had issues returning the item to us. We have looked into the situation you have commented on and can confirm that you placed the order with us 25/8. The order was fully dispatched from our warehouse and delivered to you 4/9. As per your email on 22/9 you informed us that the plans that were done by your architect were incorrect and because of this had ordered the incorrect size item. As per the terms and conditions that you agreed to during checkout we operate a 14 days return or exchange policy and so unfortunately had notified us of the return outside of these timescales. Upon your request this was referred to a manager who contacted the manufacturer of the item ordered to see if they would in fact except the item back from us. This was agreed by them as a gesture of good will however it would incur a restocking charge of 35%. As this was a mistake on your part this charge will unfortunately be passed on to you. We have a set amount of time to return unwanted items to manufacturers which is why we operate a 14 day policy. Anything that goes back to them after this time will result in restocking charges. Please note that this restocking charge does not go to us and so we will make no additional money from your expense. Might be worth speaking to your architect who provided you with the incorrect measurements to reimburse you of these costs. We hope that your planned refurbishment is all going well, should there be anything else you need assistance with please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind Regards

Hi there, Thanks for taking the time to leave this review. Please allow us to clear up the points you have raised on both of your reviews. Firstly you have stated that your delivery arrived damaged. We have had no correspondence from you informing us of this. At no point during our communication have we refused to cancel and refund any part of your order. As previously requested we part dispatched the order as we were still awaiting a couple of the items to come into us which you were fully made aware of, a full refund was issued to you for one part of the order as you wanted this cancelled. How can you say that we have “stole your money” and refused any cancellation request when your order was delivered safely to you in full and the one cancellation request was completed? After receiving your order you notified us that you would like to return part of it. You sent us the return information 3/9 at 12.26 and a reply and address label was sent back to you 3/9 12.37. As you have said our customer service team have discussed this return with you on a number of different occasions. As they correctly said to you returns are sent back to our warehouse and not to them and so for any further details they will need to discuss this with the warehouse team. You have mentioned that the team referred your enquiry to a manager. You had spoken to this manager previously as they called you back on the same day as requested. The reason it was referred to a manager was at your request as you were unhappy to discuss the issues further with them and when the manager spoke to you, you advised that all was resolved. Due to your aggressive nature and tone our customer service team did hang up on you. They do not have to tolerate being spoken to in that way and will not accept this behaviour. If you speak to people with manners and respect you will receive this back from our team who were more than happy to help you. As discussed with your wife the refund for the returned items has now been fully processed. Apologise for the delay in receiving this, as discussed there was an administration error. You will receive the refund the same way that you paid. We hope all is going well with your new bathroom. Should you need any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind Regards

Good product but appalling customer service.I needed two new taps for the kitchen because the hot water tap in the kitchen had broken.Delivery took over two weeks.I rang customer service three times to ask why.Each time I was talked over, interrupted and rushed.I spoke to the same woman each time.She had a couldn’t care less attitude and blamed it all on the courier.I will not use this business again.

Currently trying to return a faulty item and this is proving very difficult. Costing even more money to get fitters to remove the faulty part of the product (though the item came in two parts it was purchased as a whole) and have been asked to potentially damage the other good part of the item in order to return that faulty section. Now have bathroom unit in the middle of my bedroom, I’m waiting to pay for a fitter to try and sort this out and I’ve no idea when I will have this item replace or weather it can be removed without causing damaged. Any other company would have just collected and sent a new item that was fit for purpose as should be done within the 30 day consumer rights time frame relating to faulty consumer goods. All this for a £1200 piece of furniture that I can’t use but everyone including the shop and manufacture agrees it’s faulty!

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to write the review and sorry to hear of the issues with the unit. As Bathroom Village we have a duty to supply you with the goods that you have ordered. However on the other hand as a consumer you have a duty of care to check the goods that you have received prior to them being installed. Part of the item that you received was faulty due to a manufacturing fault, why would you fit a faulty item? As per our terms and conditions that you agreed to during checkout we strongly recommend that all items received are thoroughly checked as soon as possible. Should there be any issues we ask that they are reported to us within 14 days of delivery to enable us to rectify these for you. By fitting the item you have accepted the quality of the item that you received. Please note as soon as you made us aware of the situation all details were passed to the manufacturer and a replacement item was ordered. This was delivered and the faulty item collected on the date previously agreed with you (the next working day). Following on from this replacement you also notified us that you were still unhappy. As we have clearly stated to you the item that you ordered was a Burlington unit and basin with Minerva worktop (black granite colour). We have been in constant contact with the manufacturer regarding your issues and have offered a number of different solutions to resolve your concerns. We hope the care kit sent out to you free of charge has helped. Sorry to hear that you are experiencing additional installation costs. The part had no packaging & 3 parts were rattling around in the box so it was damaged. It took too long to come and the courier DHL gave me no feed back & you can’t track you package even through the web site says you can. They delayed my first parcel & the replacement. The replacement also had no packaging. I will not use your company again. Are your parts reconditioned? So I waited in a few times for my package to not arrive. So you wasted lots of my time. Thanks

You then notified us of the damage 1/8 and a replacement item left us 5/8. We have looked into the delays that you have stated and it appears that these were with the courier company who were delivering the item to you. Can’t believe you sent me this link!!! I didn’t get my order that I paid for and as a costumer the service I received from you was very poor, I’m hoping my money has been paid back into my account. I won’t and wouldn’t recommend you for bathroom fittings,it would be courteous to contact an unhappy customer but this is obviously the best I’m going to get. I’m hoping management read this.
