“I visit the small co-op in Byfleet Village, (there are two, a big one and a small one) every day for my newspaper. The normal customer assistant is George who I find very friendly and efficient. He always passes the time of day and has a chat if he is not too busy. The other assistants are also good and helpful. A very good Co-op to visit.”

“Decent store off Hampton Court Broadway, known as the Thames Ditton store. Have shopped there for many, many years since they first appeared (replacing the site of the Lamb & Star pub). Only problem I had was very recently was as use as an Amazon Hub... which actually wasn't their problem!! Basically I get my Amazon Hub deliveries to this exact Co-op branch... went there recently and they couldn't find my package so after short discussion, I considered that my parcel may have got sent to Co-Op Claygate instead (the next nearest Co-op) not too far away. Anyway drove there and checked, with no luck, which they told me to go back to the Thames Ditton branch of Co-op, as the parcel was probably there! Turned up (3 trips by this point) and nothing. By this point I was fed up driving back and forth to different co-op branches, and not happy. On returning to the first co-op the staff weren't very helpful except for a ginger haired man in the branch, who advised that sometime mistakes have happened where the parcel is at a shop 40 yards from this particular Co-op branch. Low & behold he was darned right!! What a total moron (that's the polite word) I felt about the situation. I decided to go back to the store and thanked the guy for his cool and leveled advised. What a champ. No idea how choice delivery to co-op ends up elsewhere right nearby, but their advised sorted out my conundrum... top marks!”

“Wow bought the curry deal - 2 x curries and beer. Seemed like a v good deal but the curry was inedible - absolutely revolting - went in the bin - the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted”

“The Central England Co-op is on a mission to wipe out orangutans. Nearly everything contains palm oil!! I purchased a Cornish pastie from their deli chiller thinking it would be high quality. Only when I got it home did I read the ingredients list (see photo). I found that hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is an artificial additive used in paint and adhesives, and may cause allergic reactions. Straight in the bin!”

“Will not buy GRO Curried Cauliflower again!! Strange taste almost like vinegar (?vinegar in a curry?) and very few, very small bits of cauli. Nope, not for me!!”

“Felt really disappointed and disgusting when found out ginger pack grown bugs inside even the expiry date still on. Could not cook my chicken curry. All four ginger pack grown bugs inside.”

“What’s going on with the coop the company was set up to help people afford food at a reasonable price but this is not the case now. I have used the coop in Warrington for a lifetime but never again the prices for items have gone up on all items astronomically (some items by 100% with no justification. As the coop stores are usually placed in low income areas I feel disgusted that they can do this when they must know they are cheating the elderly and poor in the area. I stated at the start of this review that I have used the coop for years but I am so angry at this blatant money grabbing exercise I will never use the again and would rather go without than pay there extortionate prices. Shame on you coop you have lost the values that founded you your a disgrace.”

“Coop beef stew and dumplings A satisfying meal for one Just add fresh vegetables for a delicious meal The meat is plentiful and tender and the gravy is rich and tasty I will definitely buy this product again”

“Placed a delivery order, my main reason for ordering was I need a quiche highly. Driver came no quiche and no alternative offered, really enjoying. At least offer an alternative.”

“Coop Breaded Scampi used to be fairly good value at 2 for £7.00, now two for £8.00. Today I got seven pieces, mostly breadcrumbs. Won't be buying again.”

“Coop Irresistible Range- Beef Bourguignon and Cheddar Dumplings was delicious! Tasty, tender beef in a rich gravy with soft cheddar dumplings far exceeded my expectations. I would definitely buy again. 😃”

“Usually love Co-op stuff but the Pink Grapefruit and Elderflower Gin Liquer is thoroughly disgusting, tastes like sugar-water with none of the nice fruityness I was expecting. Went down the sink - wasted £11! Disappointed.”

“Plum and hoi sun stir fry sauce - coop. - vile the worst ever tasted. Tasted of NOTHING except sugar and salt. Disgusting. The taste in my mouth after trying to eat it is so awful I feel sick. Husband put his in bin wish I had. The stir fry veg that went with it as a desk was also absolute rubbish. Total waste of money and won’t be buying again.”

“The new chicken and mushroom pie is a watery mess and rubbish much prefered the old cheaper chicken slice. Co -op up to its normal tricks pay more get less as did with grapes that went from 500grms to 450grms in same size container. Deception as usual to go with highly inflated prices!”

“Customer service is mostly outstanding however the prices are ludicrously high. Co-op now makes marks and spencers look cheap... Four pounds for a box of cereal? I mean, where does it end? So much for co-op being about the people. Wasn't that the reason coop was started after the war... To make living more affordable? There I was thinking sainsburys is expensive... Not in comparison. They have weekly price hikes. Avoid..”

“High prices, false rebates. The money back thing and being a ''life member for just 10$'' is just another way to make you think you might be saving money. Produces are no better than elsewhere and sure as hell no cheaper. They don't even a good variety of said products!”

“The worst fish pie ever Just black skin no white fish and no taste 2nd bad meal in two weeks The other was chilli poor quality mince all fatty and greasy I would change supplier if this is the rubbish they turn out Never food shop hear again”
