The mince and burgers etc are a very super light pink colour because they are full of fat and your charging top money for this rubbish 🤷♂️. The fruit and vegetables are covered in chemicals!!! The fat on the chicken is meant to be a golden brown colour not pure white!!! That’s because it’s come from a intensive factory farm and is full of growth hormones. “I have Autism and had cause to complain about 2 staff and discrimination. 4 years later one staff always refuses to serve me. Walks off the till. Other staff stares at me obviously hating disabled who stand up for themselves.”

There is no point in price matching other stores on every day essentials when quality is poor! I've found plastic film in a previous ready meal as well. Good job a
child wasn't eating that meal as could of choked as could I of course, plastic isn't really up to my pallette nor a trip to A&E!

“Sadly visited the Coop in Wainscott near Strood in Kent had the most horrendous visit.
Tried to use self service machine had bought paracetamol tablets needed them verified asked for help the girl on the main till Beth greeted me with ‘your have to wait’ she was on her own no other staff present really large queue. When I asked if she would see if she could get another member of staff to assist I was met with ‘no.. this is how it is there is no one else your just have to wait’. I said you can’t me on your own? And questioned her I was then met with a breakdown of abuse rudeness arms waving and storming off out the back. The manager came running out Shaun saying I won’t have my staff treated like this? He wasn’t even present and she had said there were no other staff on the building ? I explained she was rude had lied to me in front of a shop full of people and quite frankly I won’t be treated like that? I’m a customer paying my money why should I be greeted with this.. this is not customer service on any level should she even be in the job? The manager refused to even hear my side even though there was CCTV quite clearly incompetent and with a large queue would leave a young girl on her own who wasn’t up to the task of dealing with the public. Made to feel like a criminal because I asked for another member of staff to help?! I have since reported the incident to the area manager of the coop and am still waiting a response after a month as this happened on the 7 Nov. They or him quite clearly not interested in a serious complaint of their staff.. they didn’t reply at all have led that section blank ..
Customer service at its very best.. avoid if you can .. employees not really designed to work in the public sector.. poor on all good day at best…”

“Online order very poor. I the last 5 orders I had nothing was right eg. Ordered 2 of an item and got one and charged for 2. Staff can be rude. Kids just walk in and walk out stealing is very high here and security just watch them walk out. Need a strong person to run this place.”
“I ordered 1/4 slab marble cake for baby shower 4 days ago at St. Paul coop and when I went to pick up today they present me with a full slab. They say I ordered full slab that is 4/4. I had clearly said 1/4 slab cake.I did not want such big a cake. The worker states this is what I ordered. I surely wanted a cake. Had to pay three times more than the usual one. This is the second time coop St Paul is messing up. Last August I ordered marble cake for my daughter's birthday and they made chocolate cake. This place is getting bad with cakes. Wil not order again because staff taking orders don't know what they are doing”

“My recent experience was at my local co-op, which is relatively small and located outside of town, offering good parking. This makes it attractive to the elderly who prefer a quieter environment to the hustle and bustle of typical supermarkets.
I was in a rush and hadn't made a list, so I needed to concentrate. They were playing shrill music through poor-quality, echoey speakers that were located through the centre of the store, which was where it was loudest. The final of the three pieces of music was a Soft Cell song that was so loud and shrill I had to stop for a second to consider whether this was normal and I was the problem. I thought there must be a way for me to block this sound from piercing into my brain so that it is ok to inflict this on people, but of course, I couldn't, so I considered abandoning my trolley and leaving, but I didn't have the time to go elsewhere. I noticed all the other elderly customers had the most pained look on their faces. The only one who looked like she was enjoying it was a lady in the biscuit aisle who was bopping away to it....seriously!
I became angry and asked for the manager when I got to the tills, where it seemed slightly quieter because it was away from the speakers. He was about to explain something about the staff, I interrupted, as I knew he was going to say that it was for the benefit and entertainment of the staff. I told him that if I wanted to go to a disco, I would visit the local nightclub. Music in shops appeals to the lowest common denominator, which of course, is where society will end up.
Shops are ignorant in believing this keeps people in their store, spending. I will never enter that store again, and I think that it is against my human rights to have to suffer this torture.
So distressed was I by the experience, I called my mother when I got home and via Alexa, I played the awful squealing music to her, and I immediately became panicked, tearful and could not breathe.
Why does society feel the need to fill every space with noise and visual distractions from devices like phones and Facebook clips? No wonder there is a substantial mental health issue.
I am not autistic, but so help me, anyone who shops there who is.”
