FibreGlassDirect is an online shop which supplies quality, fibreglass raw materials to the UK and Ireland. We are based in Leeds, West Yorkshire and our Head Office is in Newry, Northern Ireland.
We have been online since 2009 but have over 60 years of experience as part of the Tricel Group.
We offer an extensive range of resins, topcoats, gelcoats and ancillaries for a wide range of industries. Some of our key supplies are used for Fibreglass Flat Roofing, Fibreglass Ponds, Boat Repairs and Castings for Decorative Items.

Both items, oneside of corner was bend. Have to see if we can miss the damage and still use it.

Hi, order placed first thing Monday 6th Sept, as of 7 days later no sign of parcel which was on a 2-3 day service and no update to advise status.

My order turned up on time but only had 10 gloves and was ment to have a box of a 100 gloves

Dispatch time was good but delivery issues and lack of customer service support let the side down. Delivery was split in two but I only found this out when the first delivery arrived and two-thirds of the order was missing. There was no tracking info for the second delivery. The company didn't respond to email and it took 4 attempts across the day to contact them by phone. The person I finally spoke to seemed helpful and said he would look in to the missing items and phone me back, but never bothered. The second delivery did arrive the following day but nobody was in to receive it, as there was no tracking info. If it had all gone smoothly, then no complaints, but better support than this is required when issues do occur.

Recommend you use East Coast Fibreglass instead. Below is the email I sent to FibreGlassDirect over a week and to which they haven't yet replied: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Sir / Madam Thank you for sending the order above through so quickly. I would however like to provide some feedback, which I hope will help you provide better service going forward. Specifically, the folding and packing of the cloth left quite a lot to be desired in my view. One end had been so manhandled and the weave so distorted that I won't be able to use about half a metre at that end at all. Generally, the cloth had been folded far too much and tightly in my view so that it took two people a long time to flatten out and straighten up the cloth so that it was useable at all. Naturally this was a little frustrating as well as wasting time and resources unnecessarily. I'm not asking for any compensation or to return the cloth, but I hope that you'd like to know how packing at your end (which isn't cheap) impacts customer views etc. Naturally, if you'd like to provide some form of redress or would like to discuss this matter further, that would be fine. All the very best. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As a result of this experience I have switched to using East Coast Fibre Glass, where the prices don't seem to be significantly different but the quality of the packing is at a whole different level - so I'll be using them in future.

Of the 4 items one of the trims was broken when it arrived. Rest was OK but I paid for 2 day delivery and it took 6.

The kit was lacking in regards instructions not everyone can do fibreglass . Brushes 2 inch could have used more rollers again could have been more buckets gloves I could go on. No acetone in the pack to clean the items after and during use.. that said glass resin & topcoat no problem. Gloves I used in excess of 200 glove you gave me 28 pairs.

Order process is acceptable. But not happy with delivery. Didn't deliver the day they are coming, also I can see on the tracking system with 'not correct' details.

Arrived fast however the plastic tubs the resin is in isn’t a good seal the smell of styrene is overpowering

Great product roof looks first class you would of got 5 stars. But you were let down by your choice of delivery company. My materials sat in there warehouse for at least 3 days. Making 10 days from order to delivery

Product was first class. Let down by your delivery carrier XDP my delivery sat in there warehouse for 3 days. Only chased up after I rang to see where my delivery was

Hello Mr Moncaster. Many thanks for your feedback. I know our MD has been in touch with you by email directly but I would like to address your concerns on pricing. Whilst there has been an extreme increase in costs, I must assure you that these increases were not as a result of a simple price increase by us but rather the need to ensure we cover costs like any business. The price and supply situation in the composites sector is both worrying and volatile currently. A combination of the Covid pandemic, Brexit and an ever-increasing worldwide shortage of raw materials and affected production capacity in all our product supply chains has seen extreme increases in price and a huge reduction in volumes from suppliers. Currently, both fibreglass and resin are supplied in reduced allocation from all worldwide sources. With all of the above taking place, unfortunately, we must pass on these costs and increases, as you are aware in the construction market similar situations pertain to Steel, timber, sheet materials, insulation. We do hope that this level of pricing and supply shortage is short-lived and look forward to things being safer and stable. In meantime, I hope this helps to clarify the reason for price volatility. FibreGlassDirect was recommended to me for my Epoxy resin purchases, so I thought I would give them a try. The ordering process was easy and it was delivered very quickly. Unfortunately part A of the resin had been stored somewhere very cold and needs to be warmed up before I can use it I have tried a fast heat but that didn't work so it will have to be a slow thaw. Please check where your resin is stored .
