FibreGlassDirect is an online shop which supplies quality, fibreglass raw materials to the UK and Ireland. We are based in Leeds, West Yorkshire and our Head Office is in Newry, Northern Ireland.
We have been online since 2009 but have over 60 years of experience as part of the Tricel Group.
We offer an extensive range of resins, topcoats, gelcoats and ancillaries for a wide range of industries. Some of our key supplies are used for Fibreglass Flat Roofing, Fibreglass Ponds, Boat Repairs and Castings for Decorative Items.

“Unfortunately the packaging seemed inadequate. It arrived damaged although all components were present, the topcoat tin was badly domaged. Fortunately not punctured so no problem but with the amount of deformity in the tin, I think that was more a case of good luck!”

“Unfortunately your packaging department crushed my trim when wrapping up, tape was pulled far to tight. I did not notice until I had removed the old roof, this left me with quite a problem of sourcing another peice witch I could not do for a further two days as the job was in a different city to where I live. I had to leave my client with a open bay window roof for two days. Due to unnecessary inconvenience. Plus the additional expense of buying and collecting more trim.”

“Fast delivery and good strong stuff but pot life is very short. I appreciate the temperature does not help but halving the hardener ratio didn't help a lot.”

“Received my order very promptly but when it arrived every can of topcoat and acetone were badly dented as it they had been dropped. Also there were no instructions on the tins of how to mix the catalyst and topical (quantity to use and temperature etc) so will have to look this up on the internet. No written instructions either sent so not too happy.”

“Good prompt delivery of goods, I've not used the product yet but when it arrived both tins of topcoat were badly dented as well as the acetone container. Not sure if you sent them like this or it was the courier. They were boxed up so I presume they came from you like this. Not impressed”

“Everything was great, they did everything you would expect of them well until I contacted them as I’d made a mistake and quite a lot of resin leaked from my mold meaning I needed some more. As I’d bought 10kg of clear cast resin I asked if the 2.5kg could be poured on top of the 5kg as they had different names and I also cheekily asked if there was any chance of a discount or free delivery as I needed to buy more. They answered the first question fine but completely ignored the second. They didn’t even just say ‘sorry no’ and I asked twice! If they had answered the rating would be 5 stars.”

“Pallet looked as the cover was open luckily it hadn’t rained much, I also sent an email with a photo of the damaged drum of resin but had to phone to confirm that you had received it. Although I was told that if I had any issue with the resin when I get to use it I found it poor service.”

“good product but terrible packing and delivery. Resin tubs leaking and they stink”

“Great product. The delivery muppets with a van let it down though. It was left upside down on my new block paving and one of the resin bottles leaked out of the box which took half of my acetone to mop up. The tins of top coat looked like they had been in a fight in the Ukraine.”

“Goods (in my case principally Lloyds approved general purpose resin) appear to be good quality at prices not much more than other online suppliers. The downside is the cost of standard carriage which, perhaps because the goods are despatched from Northern Ireland, is a minimum of £16 (other suppliers charge £7.99). This makes smaller orders uneconomic. Customer service is also lacking. They delivered the wrong size of Ribbed Roller, and it took 2 telephone recorded messages and 2 emails over the course of a week before I got a response. Their phone line seems to be continually on answermachine.”

“Having put in the dimensions of my pond the suggested kit said 10 sq Mtrs… the kit provided was not sufficient and I had to order another 2 Sq Mtrs. Friendly helpful company with good kit.”
