I made an on line purchase( Vera Wang trinket box). Buying was quick and simple. Delivery was fast too. I was kept informed via email about my purchase and updated with delivery details. I cannot fault the service in any way.

I love the John Lewis website as it is so easy to use. Very easy to order items and they arrived very quickly and it perfect condition. i was kept up to date at all times with the status of my delivery. In the past I have needed to return items and that is so easy too. JL is my go to shop for just about everything!

Ordered a chest freezer which when installed did not work. Only found out a couple of days later with a full freexer defrosting. Very poor and unsymathetic response and unable to replace for nearly a week. Lost the majority of contents and unwilling to compensate for my lost as my houshold insurance did not cover loss, It was not a breakdown as it never had workd correctly. Eventually wrote personally to the Chairman but was told he would never see it by Customer Service Manager as it would be intercepted. Eventually got £50 which only covered a small part of the lost of contents. I will after 50 years of being a loyal customer not be using them again. It is the senior mangement that are the problems with the outsourcing of services to some of the known poorest performers in the field.

John Lewis' customer service is next to nothing, always wanting to go the extra mile for the customer. I often consider purchasing good for them as I know if there are any issues, they will rectify the problem swiftly.

Products are nicely laid out so that I can browse with ease and select what I want. Paypal is accepted to make payments easy. Additionally, I can select the 'click and collect' delivery method to have my purchases delivered to the Waitrose near my home so it's very convenient. I have always been impressed with the selection and quality of their products, as well as their generous guarantees and excellent customer service. Thank you!

Returned item, told it needed to go to manufacturer for repair. Told to ring back in 2 weeks. 2 weeks past we right and I'm told there's been a mistake and they'll ring back in 24 hours. Nope. Next time the phone is put down on me multiple times. Eventually I get a real person who puts me through to someone else who tells me they'll ring me tomorrow. Nope. Very annoyed at all this, will be getting my goods next time from somewhere else. Who knows, perhaps that person tonight will actually ring me back tomorrow?

Items arrived on the day or earlier then predicted by John Lewis. Prices were better for Printer and Mobile phone or price matched with additional guarantees at no extra cost.
