I recently went to John Lewis to select our wedding list items. Staff was great, very very friendly and helpful. They gave us a general idea of what to buy in terms of quantity, related to how many guest we had and what we needed. They also printed all our selection and options we had deleted in case we wanted to give it a second thought. Finally, they explained us how to book them online or change any selection we had made. I'll definitely recommend the store for any gift list or random shopping. OHHH and we had free tea/coffee and cake, which made the experience more relaxing and enjoyable. 100% recommended!!!

I visited 008 store West Key Southampton today to enquire about bud head phones. I met Joe "P" in the audio department who was Exactly who I expected to meet at John Lewis and why I didnt go to PC World. Polite , smart and knew EVERYTHING about the products. Excellent customer service just like the old Tyrell and Green days !!!!!

They had in stock the camera I wanted, the staff did a reasonable job but unfortunately didn't stock spare batteries. So had had to buy these via Amazon.

I ordered a new freezer, but was then found it completely impossible to get through to them on the phone to arrange for the old appliance to be taken away. The phone seemed to be answered, but all I could hear was General babble in the background.

008 Southampton West Went to purchase a coffee machine today and greated by Maria the Lavazza rep. Really 'human' interaction, listened to me and my requirements instead of telling me what I should have. Really know her product's and a credit to the store.

Hungarian down duvet costing £110 was almost devoid of filling. Customer Services were, however, very efficient and duvet was repacked and ready for collection within twenty minutes of receipt. Will make sure I see and feel anything of this nature if I ever buy another. Joan Key

Abysmal delivery service. Poor customer service when trying to solve the problems. No reply to latest email. No reply from so called 'delivery team'. And to add insult to injury the dishwasher has developed a fault.

I ordered a dress for my daughter's prom online on April 14. Delivery was meant to go to my local Waitrose store that weekend. I received an email on the Saturday that delivery was due to say that delivery would not arrive that day and to await further notification. A couple of days later I received a voicemail to call back. I was told that my dress had been sent to the wrong store , no more stock was available but that they were expecting more stock in a week. So I said i would wait for the new stock. A week later I make contact again and am then told the truth that I will not be receiving this dress. No apology. A refund was promised on 21 April . Only after I have chased this up did I get a refund today 23 May. no apology except to say someone had put a note on my case and forgot about it. Such shameful customer service. I am owed an apology for shoddy service, the fact that my money has been taken and accruing interest in your account/ cost of calls and effort to chase up my money.
