Awful customer service, incompetent store staff and disinterested online staff.

Not like it used to be not helpful no customer service and they take it on mangers description to authorise faulty goods even with a valid 28 days receipt So BE CAREFUL FALSE. information on RECEIPT EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE TOO BUT YOU DONT GET YOUR RIGHTS LIKE ELSEWHERE SO AVOID ANY RIVER ISLAND

I saw a huge yellow sign written : SALE everything is £10 or under (t&c apply some items exclusive) I went in the store there was not a single item £ 10 or less maybe the socks🥱🥱🥱. This company deserve to be sue for misleading marketing

Last Sunday 8th January my friend and I went to River Island Altrincham Cheshire to look around . Ifound this beautiful coat and couldn t resist. I took to pay for it and is when I was served by Floor Manager OLAIDE . What a fantastic person so polite and lovely smile and so so helpful . What a pleasure to go in a shop ans find such a fantastic person. You have done a very good choice to chose her as a Manager . And by the way my coat as been a success admired by everybody . Absolutely beautiful coat looks very very expensive . Keep choosing such good staff MARIA DE SOUSA-CUNNINGHAM

I went into River Island Mayflower Basildon, to buy some items for my Son who just got his 1st Job, a very polite young lady helped us pick some really nice clothes, casual but really smart, so I like to say a big Thankyou to Brodia as the company complimented him on how nice he looked on his 1st day at work.

River Island has terrible customer service! Don’t order from them it’s not worth it. Going back and forth for over a month to get a refund for an item they never sent.

I ordered two clothing items for my 6-month-old girl, only one item arrived out of the two, the second item was a dress that my daughter had to wear for her first Christmas. It never arrived, I wrote to the people at River Island and they told me flatly that they see the order as delivered and that's it. Of course, I paid for both products, but I received an incomplete package. I do not recommend River Island, extremely unserious!

This website is so irresponsible with their customer service. I ordered something 3 weeks ago and it’s been sitting in a different state for 2 weeks!!! They don’t answer their phones or emails!!! Think twice before wasting your money.

I placed an order on the 24th November. Which did not arrive and I was told it had been lost and it would be refunded and I would have to reorder the items. This was after 2 weeks of waiting. Which I did and they were supposed to be delivered but they did not arrive again. So I phoned again to be told it had been despatched and they would check with the carrier. I then received an email telling me my items had been returned and a refund raised. With no explanation, I needed the items for a birthday present and I ordered them a month in advance. M&S lost my parcel too, but they had my parcel reordered and delivered to me the next day. River Island need to up there game. It has put me off ordering from River Island again.

I was shopping in the Denton store, A Sales Assistant called Debbie was so Friendly and polite, she helped with all of my queries, i left the store very happy and satisfied with my purchase. Will be shopping in the Denton store again.

The team in River Island Portsmouth couldn’t do enough to help. Especially Sales employee Flo who tried so hard to find me the right item. I left the store not only feeling so happy I had a beautiful new coat but Flo made the experience personal and friendly. Thanks for your help

I would just like to say that I was blown away with the help from a lovely assistant in your Livingston store today. Nothing was too much for this lovely lady by the name of Dawn. It was a pleasure to shop and be given the help and advice since I was on my own. I asked her her name so that I could write this review. More stores definitely need a Dawn. Fabulous service. Thank you for making a grand choice in an employee. 👏👏

I placed my first order and the discount code said it would be applied if you spend above £50 my card was charged the full amount so had no choice but to cancel the order. Now its going to take 7 days to get a refund even though I cancelled only a couple of minutes later.

Gender neutral party wear. I am 25 Yr old male and had arranged to shop at RI Manchester with two female co-workers for my outfit for Christmas party. Unfortunately due to illness they couldn't make it. So they rang me and RI ahead with ideas. At store nothing was too much trouble I was able to try multiple outfits with assistance and positive feedback from staff. I finally decided on silver body top trousers and shorts,depending on shoes. Thanks to kind assistance of RI staff I will attend this years Christmas party with new found confidence.

I purchased a long beige cardigan for £65.i wore it for 3 days,only couple of hours.It has bobbles all over it,front and back.It looks as though i have wore it over a year.i spent alot of money thinking it will be better than the £10 jumpers i could by locally.

Although no confirmation email or link to track, customer service says it's in store and please collect it. Store did nor received my order and told me to wait for the email. Customer service says they'll contact you but they don't. Very poor service

I have always shopped at River Island and when I moved to USA and saw they shipped here I decided to order. I have tried to email them 3 times about an order I placed in June it is not September. I never received a response so decided to call. I was then told by a rude associate I would have to further wait for a refund. On the tracking the package is still in same location it has been for past 3 months so I think a refund should have been processed instantly as an investigation had already been initiated in August. When I asked him why no one had responded to my email he told me they are back up. So realistically am I meant to wait another 3 months for my refund. This is unacceptable.
