“This company is absolutely ridiculous and don't take customer service seriously. A few weeks agoI ordered a Brabantia bin, they sent it damaged THREE TIMES IN A ROW. Always with the same type of dent. Every time I had to wait home for the delivery THE WHOLE DAY (no time slots provided), and spend another whole day for the courier to pick up the faulty product. Huge waste of time! Third time I asked to collect the parcel in store, thinking they would be extra careful, having been advised about the issue. It didn't work and the product was received damaged again. At the end I gave up and asked for a refund.
I genuinely think it is a scam, as the product is from an old collection, they are literally the only shop that have it available online and they are selling it on all the platforms (RD website, ebay, Amazon, etc). I am sure they have a batch of faulty products that they are trying to sell. First time I complained they offered me a £10 refund if I wanted to keep the product. A lot of people would probably accept.
Unfortunately for them I have all the pictures of the dented bins and their absolutely perfect boxes, which I have shared with an association that protects customers and they are currently investigating on the case. The boxes should have had at least a scratch or bump if they were really containing a product dented that way. They were instead all in perfect condition. I think this demonstrate the products have been repackaged. Three in a row CANNOT BE A CASE.
Anyway, try to avoid this company as they are muppets and they will treat you like s**t if you try to complain.”
“Ordered a present for a relative's birthday. I selected Click and Collect (their website claims it takes up to 5 days) with the hope that it would arrive just in time. Then I received an email with the link to track my order, clicked on it and saw that it was going to take a week (in my opinion wayyy too long for click and collect) so would be too late for the bday. I tried contacting them with the form on their website (have yet to receive a response) and then spoke to a charmless customer service agent through live chat. I asked if I could cancel my order, so I could purchase the product from somewhere with a quicker delivery time. He said that there was no guarantee they could cancel it and that I would have to wait another two days to find out! The order hasn't even been despatched yet (in fact, tracking service hasn't been updated at all, nearly 3 days later) so don't understand why I have to wait this long? Really annoyed as I was hoping that I could get the present quick and easy, but no such luck. Cheers for that Robert Dyas! Will be steering clear of this garbage company from now on, and make sure to double check reviews when ordering online. Just hope I get my refund, wish me luck folks!”
“Placed an order for click and collect as it showed several of the items in store, received email to say item would be delivered to the store in a weeks time! Rung store who confirmed item was in store but would not allow me to collect one, said i would have to cancel the order and pay for another in store! Rung customer services, they couldnt do anything so they cancelled my order without asking me, now I have to wait 5 days for a refund!!! Absolute joke.”
“Bought Kärcher K2 Premium Full Control Car and Home Pressure Washer in November 2017 from Robert Dyas shop and used it only two times for small patio cleaning. When tried to use it for third time the pressure hose is damaged and lot of water are coming through the holes from the pressure hose. Karcher says it is not covered within warranty. They are categorising as wear and tear but spending nearly £200 for a pressure washer that doesn't even last for three usage is really worst quality. The replacement hose itself costs £45 which is very expensive.
I will not recommend this product. It is waste of money.”
“Do not buy anything from Robert Dyas. They are selling white goods via a supplier but the supplier cannot supply the goods and services that you paid RD for, then they do not deal with emails or complaints nor will they refund your money. Has to be the worst retail company operating in the UK. AVOID. You have been warned. I feel so stupid buying a washing machine from them without reading the other reviews. Now I am hundreds of pound out of pocket and they don't even bother dealing with the issue when you raise it they seem to get a complaint and a compliment mixed up and tell you everything is fine and you will hear from their supplier when you just told RD that their supplier has been in touch to say that the goods and services you paid RD for does not exist, and they don't know why RD offer them.”
“Ordered an 8 wheel suitcase , received a 2 wheel . Poor customer service response when I requested a refund. They needed photos etc , despite them sending the wrong item. Took 3 weeks to finally receive a refund .

“Do not buy from this company they are the worst company I've ever had any dealings with they've sold me a £259 shed that's absolutely rubbish my shed shrunk an inch and a half within 3 days I took pictures I sent him on to him they constantly lied and said that it's wasn't there is down to Myers who they purchased a shed from I had my contract with Robert Dyas not with Myers this is a joke I've complained for 5 weeks I've been asking to speak to managers I get people telling me they're out the office I can't deal with me they'll phone me back which I've never had a phone call back I then had to contact them after 5 weeks of complaints and I said I've had enough I wanted to shitload of rubbish it picked up they refuse to pick it up and I've got offered £82 to replace the damaged or what a waste of a company how they can stay in business I do not know and as for customer service that's a massive massive joke they must employ the most youngest in efficient staff of ever known they lie to you they tell you they will call you back they tell you there no other managers around and it goes on and on please avoid this company you will be so so gutted read all the reviews before you purchase anything for this company”
“I brought a shed from use 5 weeks ago I've had nothing for aggravation my shed and shrunk inch and a half because it was obviously made when it was soaking wet I've had no help whatsoever and after complaining for 5 weeks regarding the shed that I bought from use all I've ended up getting is £82 back to make her own door this is the most appalling his service and your customer service team is rubbish I think you need to start looking at your reviews your products your advertising because you're all false advertising you stayed to use Cuprinol paint on the sheds and when you do you get told it's the Cuprinol paint that has caused the shrinkage I've wasted £259 on a piece of wood there's absolute rubbish you should be ashamed of yourself selling products like this to customers how you've managed to stand business I don't know”
“Useless customer service and company. Ordered two Beldray 4 in 1 cooler from them in July 2019. First their delivery was later than promised date. Then they delivered only one unit. After multiple calls, their customer services team agreed that it was a delivery mess-up, and that i will receive the other unit in 2 days time. After all of that they sent an email two days later saying, the item was out of stock, and not available at all. Useless company, and useless service”

“Just shocking service. Ordered a shed with a guaranteed delivery within 7 days. 11 days later I was still chasing it having received nothing other than a confirmation of the order. Eventually after many attempts to speak to someone, I went on 'chat' with a lady only to be told that the earliest delivery, which they might not be able to honour, would be at least 4 weeks away. I had to cancel the order and start afresh elsewhere. In the meantime I have the contents of two shed sitting on my lawn. I will never, ever, use Robert Dyas for anything and regret having given them any business in the first place.”
“I also want to warn people about the poor customer service and damaged goods. I bought the 9 seater corner garden furniture and Bistro table and chairs that were damaged. I phoned customer services after they did not respond to my email and was told to send another email along with photos which i did. I received no acknowledgement and again had to phone up for a resolution. The only option given to me meant I would have to take time off work for them to take back the damaged furniture and then another day for the replacement as they would not exchange on the same delivery. It didn’t make sense to me as they had photos to prove the furniture was damaged. Would I buy from RD on line again, the answer would be NO and I’m now regretting not reading the reviews placing my order. RD on line need to sort out their customer service and check all items sent to customers for damage.”
