“I dont have time to write it over and over, they are a bunch of liars and thieves, trying to scam people I cam from previous reviews that they habe been caught a few times but not enough to stop or they just dont care I will never do business with them again even if the product is 10 times more expensive somewhere else”

“Firstly Takealot do not provide a facility to give feedback on themselves only on the products they sale as an intermediary for the sellers. Takealot did not deliver my order to my house as per the order but to an entirely different address. They do not provide their phone number easily but I managed to find it. It is 080873628000. When I called them, they could not explain what had happened and would not give me a refund when I asked for one. Be warned Takealot is not safe and secure delivery as they falsely claim on their website”

“I had a delivery due on Saturday 5 November which did not arrive. I did not receive any communication indicating that my delivery would not be delivered. I phoned on Sunday morning and was told that my query would be escalated and someone would come back to me, no response. I queried on Monday morning, same story, my query would be escalated. Do you call this customer service?? I call it disgusting service!!!!”

“After delivery was promised early Saturday morning, 2 hours wait, no product, product was delivered late afternoon. Guess what, totally wrong product!! No communication, they do not care if they made a mistake and also not eager to fix it, expect delivery 12-14 days later. Extremely bad experience with them!”

“I placed an order on 1Sept Ref 113086376✓ 6 x Sets of 4 Non Stick 13cm Removable Bottom Quinche Sets @ R352 per set.✓Delivery date was 8Sept✓ Rescheduled for 13Sept.✓Waiting for Supplier to fulfill your order✓ 12Sept I got an sms just after 7am - your order is scheduled for delivery on 13Sept before 7pm✓ around 10am - 12Sept, your order is out for delivery before 7pm today.✓ just after 3pm ,12Sept a Takealot driver asks what time I will be available to receive my order...I said anytime after 17h30✓ Pronto , driver arrives...I argue that the order cannot fit in 2 small boxes he had...we check details on the boxes...match my order✓ I further suggest that I first open boxes if it is indeed what I ordered, I pay him✓ He objects as that is not allowed.You pay the order is yours, if anything is wrong, you schedule Returns online or call 0873628000✓ I pay R2117✓ Open the boxes to my horror.🙆🏽‍♀️ Takealot supplied-: 20 x Hillhouse 11cm Non Stick Solid Bottom Mini Tart Pans @ R136 each on their site.😭 Definitely not what is on my order.I open my account and show the driver my Acc still reads -: 6 x Sets of 4 Non Stick 13cm Removable Bottom Quinche Sets @ R352 per set. Rediculously further gives Current Order status - shipped 5 x sets , 1 scheduled for shipping 14Sept. Driver refuses to take order back.I cannot instantly schedule a Returns.✓ Because the system is not updated to delivered and paid...This is 12Sept.The system reads order shipped for delivery 13Sept.Driver insists 13Sept first thing in the morning call 0873628000 for assistance by then I will have confirmed delivered.paid✓ I try to schedule a Returns...No Luck till Now because the Long and short of it. 1 - Takealot acknowledged they supplied me with wrong product for my order after I send the boxes and product received images. 2 - Takealot send a small box of the 4 x Hillhouse 11cm Non Stick Solid Bottom Mini Tart Pans @ R136 each on their site to make up 24units.The driver showed me a msg I was expected to pay another R2117😭💔 I phoned Takealot while he waited, some guy called Paul assisted me this time.He said he activated a Returns, confirmed order paid already and said I didn't have to pay another R2117...yes I gave him the contact number of the first driver who still had not updated my order status Wrong product on Order, Delivered and Paid. Since 13Sept until today 19Sept, all I have received from Takealot are several Ref Numbers your Query is escalated.Add to that conflicting msgs on email regarding my order. 20Sept, today I receive an email stating that we are Sorry to let you know that the product you ordered is no longer available.We have issued a Credit into your Account for 2 x Sets 4 of Non Stick 13cm Removable Bottom Quinche Sets @ R352 per set. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY PAYMENT OF R2117 (R5Donation ) PAID FOR MY FULL ORDER OF 6x Sets of 4 Non Stick 13cm Removable Bottom Quinche Sets @ R352 per set. Takealot states in that email CREDIT DUE FOR 2 x Sets of 4 Non Stick 13cm Removable Bottom Quinche Sets @ R352 per set THAT YOU RETURNED. 1 - I have not received my Order for 6Sets 2 - The wrong order delivered on 12Sept is here with me Awaiting the 24Hour scheduled collection for returns it's been 6days and I am still waiting. 3 - I have lost track of how much money I have spend on Calls to Takealot that yield nothing but deeper confusion at my EXPENSE and FURTHER LOSS. 4 - HOW CAN GET THEM TO DO THE RiGHT THING...I can substitute for the exact amount I paid NOT A CREDIT WORTH A THIRD OF MY PAYMENT WHY?!”

“Purchase frameless wall clock in June. Have sent it back 4 times and on Friday incorrect item delivered again. Advertising - all roman numerals, got 3, 6, 9 and 12 roman numerals and 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10 and 11 just lines. Advertising - short hand length 32cm, got 8 cm. Advertising - long hand length 40cm, got 10cm Advertising - size of numerals 9,5 x 6cm, got 5x3cm. Silver on roman numerals is damaged.”

“Bad customer service, customer service telephone rings for at leat 4 minutes no answer, PLS KEEP THE BS THAT U BUSY FOR YOU'RE SELF, send emails and got a stupid answer back, looks like the customer pays for takealot mistakes, when I purchase a item, it was canceled by takealot (NO STOCK) remember first delivery is free, I HAVE NOT RESIVED A FIRST FREE DELIVERY, I made a second purchase and by takealot default I must pay R65 for a free first delivery, WHAT BS IS THIS”

“We ordered a JBL 6 portable speaker. We received an illuminated house number. I told my wife to check that the colour of the JBL is Teal as ordered, only to find its not even the product ordered. I'm livered it's for my son's birthday. I expect this to be sorted quickly, our time wasted going to sort out this stuff up!!!”

“I am very unhappy my order number #112017606 was not delivered and I am getting a message saying recipient refused delivery where as no one called to say maybe they are outside , this was a birthday present for my niece and it has been ruined by the incompetency of Takealot, if they were getting lost why didn’t they call ? I am really unhappy I need this to be fixed I don’t want any refund I just want this gift to be delivered to the rightful address , it’s really unacceptable, my mother stayed the entire day waiting for delivery which never happened , please fix this , my contact details are as follows ~ 0742946600-- L. “They have shocking delivery service and lie. They say customer has no money or that we not available even after you call them several times to confirm delivery. They rescheduled and put rubbish excuses. We had to eventually go collect our order.”

“Takealot is deliberately i flating prices and falsely advertising special prices. I wanted to buy a memre airfoam premium classic pillow. It is losted for R1050. Actual price from other retailers is between R440 (Loot) and R550 (game, makro). Daylight robbery. Get it eight Takealot. Someone should complain wto the ombudsman for deceptieving customers with fake specials”

“Best service I've ever experienced! I bought 2 tablets. On receiving them I saw the one's screen has a crack. I asked for a replacement on the 19th of July. The broken tablet was picked up on the 21st also is the replacement tablet delivered ! thank you Takelot of such good service!”
