The Staff at the Randridge Mall were warm, Friendly, efficient & extremely helpful today - 23rd Aug '25. A Staff Member even offered to carry my purchases to my car - I was most grateful. Thank you Randridge Staff - your kindness & offer to help is deeply appreciated.

I placed an order for 3 items and one was cancelled by Takealot due to suppllier issue, Takalot then gave me a credit on my account. I want to talk to someone and tell them that this does not work for me as I will need to pay for the delivery fee if I order golf balls again. However, for me to talk to a live person is difficult, they have bots doing this, and it seems a laborious process to get to a customer service person. This compares to Temu who just can't be communicated to. In my opinion, this is exactly why online is not that great and stores wont go away. However Takealot needs to make the human interaction important.

3 orders in a row that was delayed with delivery because the parcel apparently arrived at the incorrect courier facility and will be rescheduled without informing you of the inconvenience.Thought takealot had their own courier service,how can you read an adress wrong. And it doesn't help to phone customer complaint,its just a sorry sir for the inconvenience One time might have been acceptable, but three times in a row,within the space of a month,seriously catch a wake up

I am extremely happy with my order. The books are in pristine condition and our delivery guy was friendly. I had a very good experience, and will definitely be buying more books from Takealot. Thank you.

The only item I really wanted of three they cancelled but tried to continue to deliver other two and make me buy the same item but at a much higher price.

I ordered a phone battery and was sent an empty package. I returned the empty package and box to a pick up point and was told to log a return. The lady who was assisting me took the box to the back and as I was about to log the return, she told me not to log the return because she was going to do it on my behalf. She said I will get an email but 3 days later, I still had not received an email. I logged a return and I have to go back to the pick up point for a third time to scan the QR code. Hopefully the empty package and box will still be there. Takealot is untrustworthy. They don't have a customer service contact number. There is no one to talk to when you have a query or complaint. Very bad service. I will not buy from them and I don't recommend them anymore.

Takelot has no actual phone number or live chat for customer service so if you have an urgent issue, your issue gets stuck in the nowhere land of emails. I wasted a day at a collection point trying to get hold of them to get a simple answer. If they'd just put the proper info on their email or got an actual person to help me this waste of time could have been avoided. Never did get help. So nice and quick when they 'takelot' of your money. No customer service 😕

Be very careful of takealot Be very careful of takealot, they WILL screw you. I ordered 5 jars of Nescafe coffee and when they arrived they had sent me 5 half size jars. I paid R575 for 5 100 gram jars. And they wouldn't take them back. Reaching their customer service is impossible, they don't answer the 'phone. Don't buy through takealot, they are crooks.

My parcel was supposed to be delivered before 5pm according to the Takealot notification I received yet only arrived at 18:50. I can understand that there were probably a few stops they had to make during the day but when the drivers eventually arrived they were completely rude. The 2 delivery drivers. Male and a female were rude when they arrived. I can’t comprehend how the attitude is as if they are doing me a favour when I paid for the item and delivery.

I purchased quite a bit of RIT fabric dye from Takealot but had to also purchase the colour fixative which arrived last. After receiving the fabric dye I requested a return and refund immediately upon discovering that it would be cheaper to buy new linen, which I explained when requesting a refund. I've already returned the fabric dye when the colour fixative arrived which I returned immediately without bothering to check the packaging, only to receive a email from Takealot's Simtandile.B that I have to take it back due to the bottle already open. At this point I tried to explain to Simtandile.B that I didn't even bother to check the bottle because I returned it right away, but Simtandile.B insisted I had to tell them that the bottle has already been opened. Simtandile.B did not bother to get back to me. Xolile.D responded that I have to take it back and returned it right away. So, now Takealot has sent me their already opened bottle of colour fixative and none of my queries has been returned.

Takealot’s service is absolutely appalling. After I paid in full for an item (2-stroke oil), they cancelled it without any valid reason, only to relist the same item at double the price. This kind of blatant price manipulation is not only unethical, but also goes against the Consumer Protection Act, which requires businesses to honour the price once payment has been made. Their lack of transparency, poor customer service, and disregard for consumer rights is disgraceful. People should seriously avoid Takealot and move their business to Amazon instead, where customers are treated with the respect they deserve.

I used to order from Takealot A LOT and never had any real complaints regarding delivery. Usually it was relatively fast. But since they've introduced this More option, I wait up to 4 weeks for an order where all the items are in stock! It's ridiculous!!! Tracking does not get updated, even weeks later still showing "not shipped". It's like they want you to subscribe, which i won't, not while there is Amazon.co.za which in most cases offer the same product for a little cheaper. Disgusting way to treat their loyal customers.

What’s going on with Takealot?? Last orders I’ve placed are getting delivered later than usual. Even after paying extra for delivery. Tracking not getting updated. Seriously!

Man on the inside So watch out for this scam from takealot... They have an inside person stealing your refund money, we sent back an item and requested a refund because the item kept breaking... Right after the refund was given the amount started being spent on airtime vouchers. When we receive the email of purchases we tried to log into our takealot account and the password was changed... According to takealot it was not on thier side, our email was hacked but there is no evidence on the email to suspect this.

i oedered a Samsung Galaxy phone. Undersneath the item showed"What's in the box- Charger and travel adaptor". I received an order with no adaptor. So I sent it back. When I enquired about the missing accessory, they said that the adaptor is not included in the package. I then sent the a pic of the ad highlighting the accessories. They did not even respond on that qauery. I was told that the money will either be refunded or kept as credit for the nect order. I then told them I want to re-order the item. The same thing happened. They sent me a note indicating that the item does not have a cable and a charger. The promised delivery date was set for 18 December. On confirming the order, the date changed to 24 December. Come 24 December, no order was delivered. I sent an email enquiring about the order, Just to find out the order had been cancelled. Don't know wwho authorized the cancellation. An email was sent to me asking whether I would want to re-order or have the money refunded. I opted for the refund. They say that refubds can take up tp 7 days to reflect in your account. Believe you me the money was in my account the very next day. This order was orinally placed on November 30, and by December 26, I was still sitting without the order. I tried 5 times to call their customer service department. Everytime was like R25 or R30 airtime, plus the free air from my service provider. Which makes it double the amount of airtime. They were so busy that they could not attend my call. One time I was served by a male agent, but that was like at the end of my airtime. I then asked him whether he could call me back. He said "Yes". Before I could ask his name, the call was suspended due to insufficient airtime. Up to today that person never returned the call. I am so dissapointed in the poor service delivery of takealot. Believe me, I will never order from them again.

Takealot - dispatch team took it upon themself to split a big order I placed on 11 Dec with half delivered on the 23rd Dec, not the 20th as indicated, and the balance of the order cancelled on the 24th due to no arrival. Some Christmas gifts were in that order, so the level of unhappy, inconvenience caused the day before Christmas was inexcusable. Unfortunately, it doesn’t end there…. A second order I placed on Christmas Day, due for delivery this week, has been delayed until January 14th. I’m just going to go ahead and cancel that order as it would seem Amazon.com have service delivery and customer care prioritized.

I am a takealot customer for years, and the one consistency with them is the unreliable delivery processes. In the past few months, I've placed multiple orders and 70 percent of them were either defective, incorrect or incomplete orders. In the latest order, I ordered a table and chair set. Only the chairs came without the table. Now it is a long tedious process, I have to repackage the chairs, box it, tape it and wait for their delivery team to decide when or if it is appropriate to pick up. Then, it goes to head office, gets 'assessed' and decision whether it is fine to replace or refund. After this they most probably won't give me the item I ordered. Utterly frustrating and unacceptable, especially when it is reoccurring multiple times. I ordered fans a few weeks ago that were marked 'remote controlled, they came without remotes. So instead of just sending the missing items, I have to return, and reorder or something of that sort. Terrible inconvenience, especially as a takealot more subscriber. How do we hold them accountable??

1 star because 0 stars is not an option! I ordered a couch for my brothers 21st birthday and saved for months to buy this for him. I did extra side work to be able to give this to him. The couch was delivered with defects but we could live with them. However a few days after delivery when a man stood up to get up from the couch, the arm rest collapsed from a little bit of weight pressed on it. When we decided to log a return, takealot ignored the request and showed that the couch had been collected and the return was completed - the couch was still sitting in my brothers house. We logged another return and the couch was collected. Upon review takealot stated that all of this was due to wear and tear and therefor will not issue a refund. We were also then told that the couch will be returned and that if the couch is not received the couch will be considered abandoned and takealot will take it and no refund will be issued. 1. How can wear and tear be done in less than a week? 2. How can takealot be happy to take R6000 from a young girl but not take responsibility for their poor quality and service. I responded to the email and explained everything in detail and the email was ignored and I was told that the couch was already on its way back to my brother. This is shocking service and I want this corrected!!
