“I ordered a wooden cabinet from mw and a door hinge fell off it and some parts were missing hardware. They wont cover shipping back. I did charge the purchase, and I received a phone call from them at 8:35 p. m. demanding a payment before one was due. Also it was 4 times the min payment stated. I have never seen a company try to run customers away more than this one. Please don't waste your money with them. I won't.”

“I ordered a Lenovo laptop for 699.99. I paid $416.00 on my debt card and planned to finance the other 400. (After taxes and $60 processing fee I was not told about. After paying, I found out that model # is no longer available they would send me a comparable model and credit my account 70.00. I got the laptop and thought it seemed cheap Soni looked up the model # (they don't supply these on the website.) I found out it's only a $199.00 computer. So I sent it back. Instead of crediting my card the fill amount, they are sending me a check. But only after they hold onto my money for 15 days. And they're only sending me a check for $265.00. calling my bank and reporting fraud”

“I purchased a queen size bedspread fully reading the dimensions so that it would fit my bed. Bottom line, it did not. That said, I returned the article. Previously, it cost approx $23.00 for shipping...and the return was the same. I called MW customer complaint department ... the representative I spoke with was not at all cooperative; she was defensive on the shipping charges ... and ultimately hung up on me before my concern was resolved. I will never ever purchase another item from MW...their customer service department obviously does not realize there are so many other companies waive a shipping charge depending on the value of the order .... she was defensive again. It cost me close to $50.00 in shipping charges for an item that did not come close to the sizing description in the catalog. In speaking with this person, she said the article was true to size .... I bantered with her on this because it was not, which is why I returned the bedspread. Take heed everyone before you purchase online .... their customer service is not one to be desired. (Staying with Target, Amazon etc.) :-)”

“We ordered a pair of sneakers but before we did we asked the sales person to make sure our monthly payment would not go up. We asked her three times and she said no. So we ordered them and the following month we received our bill and our payment went up we called and talked to a supervisor and she said yeah it went up cause of a 88 cent over interest charge, now we are stuck paying a higher monthly payment until this bill is paid off.😠😠😠😠😠😠😠”

“Montgomery Ward is a cold, viscious company who doez not care about their customers. I ordered a heater and was told i could have it on credit. Then after i sent the $10 to them they told me they woukdnt ship it out until october. I ordered it in February. I couldnt wait that long for a heater. Then they started sending threatening hateful letters. Nobody should fool with this company. We tried and tried to cancel the order buy they insisted we oay them, we had credit they said. I never heard of a catalog company refusing to cancel an order and going so far as to keep sending hateful letters of what all trouble they could and would cause us if they didnt get money. They tried to say i didnt send downpayment to them. I did. Very untrustworthy company. Beware buying from them on what they call credit. Never been treated by any other company this bad.”

“Just an FYI Just an FYI: ANYONE can set up a line of credit in your name with Montgomery Ward all they need is your name and address....smh🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I have been battling this company for months now and still absolutely no answers/ their customer service SUCX! #sofustrated I WOULD NEVER EVER purchase anything from them! Background: someone set up an account in my name and I contacted them 3x to get fraud paperwork to fill out and still nothing! But every week I am getting bills and threats for collection. I spoke with a supervisor today that was NO HELP AT ALL”

“The merchandise you order is very cheap quality. Consumers that order on line will get what they get! Montgomery Ward is extremely desperate for money not customers. Now I understand ordering on line can cause problems, but please, ordering on line is suppose to make it convenient 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔”

“Ordered a china cabinet and there wasn't enough holes. We had to reconstruct most of it. The only reason I didn't send it back was because it came in 10 separate boxes. I will never order anything else from Montgomery Ward. Awful!”

“My wife purchased an off-brand 10' Tablet that was worth about $69. She was charged $190 plus $27 to ship a 4 LB Small Package from Iowa to Michigan. Then she was charged another $8 for returning it. I can see why they went belly up and the online business will be soon to follow. If you need to buy from these people, be very careful!”
