“Dreadful customer service. Constant price increases. Had to complain to the ICO about this firm as they refused to stop constant phone calls to my private mobile. My complaint was upheld. Avoid this firm at all costs.”
“Very Poor Experience with XLN – Avoid Unless You Want Trouble
I signed up for XLN’s Cloud Voice and Fibre 80 Broadband service expecting a straightforward process, but the reality was far from ideal. It took nearly a month for my Cloud Voice to be activated, which caused significant disruption to my business.
Setting up the service was a nightmare. The instructions were unclear, and the process was unnecessarily complicated. Whenever I reached out for support, I was met with rude and dismissive staff who seemed uninterested in helping.
Worse still, I found myself being overcharged for almost everything. After signing my contract, I noticed extra add-ons had been included without my consent. Their approach appears to be to automatically add these extras, and if you don’t actively opt out, you’ll end up paying for services you didn’t want.
When my contract finally ended, XLN did not notify me. Instead, they rolled my contract over on a rolling basis, and I was suddenly paying double what I had originally agreed to. I strongly advise anyone considering XLN to be very careful—monitor your contract end date and check your bills regularly for unwanted extras. My experience with XLN was disappointing at every stage.”
“Suddenly charging insurance? You having a bloody laugh? So, you provide a service and if the service goes wrong, you want me to pay for it to be put right?”
“Absolutely rubbish Internet connection for your business do not even bother. They don’t answer the messages. They’re not helpful. They’re full of excuses and my business has been crippled because I am unable to use the Internet as it is intended for. £47 a month for a waste of time.”
“Left XLN on 1st April as prices had tripled since we started with them. They invoice in advance so had already charged us for 1-30 April. Their 'T&Cs' state that no refunds can be made for cancellations within a calendar month so refused to refund for 2-30 April. Poor customer service.”
“I chose XLN because I thought they were going to be suitable for our Dental Practice I ditched British telecom for this company. It is the worst Internet connection I have had you cannot upload anything to the Internet and it gets cut off at midnight for nearly 1 hour every single night, so none of my Cloud back up for my service functions. I have spent numerous times trying to contact customer services and I cannot get through to someone eventually when I did get through to someone they did admit that the service was pretty substandard with regards to uploading documents to the cloud or the Internet.
At £47 a month for a business broadband this is not good value for money. It doesn’t suit our needs or purposes and I will be ditching this company at the very first opportunity.”
