“The onboarding journey was a little bit complex and the UI was a little bit clunky. The product worked fine in UAE which is the most important thing but I couldn't access the website or app whilst I was away, it seemed to be blocked in UAE so I couldn't check how much data I had used. There should be another way I can check in this instance. Also this meant if I wanted to I couldn't top up my data package so potentially missed revenue for easySim.”
“The purchase process was simple. Installation of the ESIM was simple. However. The ESIM did not function at all during my time in the United States so unfortunately it was a waste of money for me. I would activate it through the connection settings on my Galaxy S25 Ultra, but it would not connect, and asked me to switch on data roaming, which all the instructional videos said to turn off.
Having spoken to Jim at easySim, it has been explained in more detail where I was going wrong with activation and I have been refunded. The response was very professional and swift. I just wanted to clarify something for you: all of our eSIMs DO require mobile data roaming to be switched ON. This allows your device to connect to our partner networks overseas. Our setup guides mention this, but we appreciate it can sometimes be misunderstood — especially as phones often show warnings when enabling roaming.
