“Very disappointed… bout a beautiful baby outfit - it was expensive but I wanted to get a special gift for a friend who just had her first baby girl. I pushed my budget but was stung for another €23 for the item to pass through customs entering Ireland. I had no idea this would happen as other items ship with no problem. It totalled to almost €90 for a single baby grow (a beautiful one but nonetheless). I will be reluctant to buy again, without any warning. Feel the good has been taken from the gift. Very disappointing - warning should be in place at shipping stage of the checkout process”

I just wanted to reassure you that it is never our intention to mislead any of our customers. We ship internationally, and unfortunately we’re not able to display any duties or fees that may be applied once parcels arrive in the destination country, as these are set by local authorities. We do include information about this on the delivery page of our website, along with our contact details, and we’re always happy to help with any queries before or after purchase. I’ve looked into your order and based on the value and the fact that babywear is non-vatable in Ireland, you should not have been charged these fees at all. We have raised this issue with An Post and Irish Customs, and are hoping to resolve this incorrect charging with them in the near future. I have emailed you separately with full details on how to claim a refund for these fees. Please do get in touch with us directly if you have any further queries.
