“What went well: It was very easy to go through the initial questionnaire, submit photos, get a diagnosis, and get a prescription. That part was a breeze and was awesome. What could be improved: 1. The communication handoff from Essential Clinic to Pocket Pills was a bit awkward. It went from messaging on the website to text messages that came from inconsistent numbers. I had no webpage or resource to track a "status" for my prescription/order. I felt uncertain about whether the order would be completed. 2. When I asked a follow up question about minoxidil to the nurse or doctor who replied to my inquiry, the response didn't come back from the medical professional. It came back from an Essential Clinic rep pushing a sale rather than answering the question from a medical perspective. I didn't appreciate that, especially since I already ordered the product they were trying to sell to me. Shows that they weren't paying attention to my account, just trying to push a sale. 3. My account - I find it bizarre that my account only has two pages: a messaging page, and a page to manage my credit card info or pause/cancel my subscription. There's no page that displays records of my prescription/subscription, my recent orders, a prediction of when I should expect to re-order, a place to manage my recurring orders. I expect to have all of this information available to me. The web experience feels like a very low-level minimum viable product. It is highly lacking. I hope these additional capabilities that I'm describing will be release soon. They feel like table stakes for a web product like this. Overall, I'm happy I got the medication and I'm hopeful that I'll see results. But I feel like Essential Clinic is heavily over-indexing towards selling subscriptions, rather than enabling customers to manage their subscription. The latter is a very important part of the customer journey. Best of luck.”
