“Ordered 7 6x4 feather edge fence panels and 2 6x5 panels, it's a bit strange to see the boards fastened the opposite way between the two sizes, fingers crossed the Mrs doesn't spot it !”

“I was very impressed with the service from Harlow. Not only did they stock an item that I could not find anywhere locally, but it was cheaper and delivered very quickly. I was a bit apprehensive that the delicate beading i had ordered might get damaged in transit but it was so well packed that there was no way damage could happen. Full marks. Wishing they had a branch near me.....”

“Up until this last purchase I have always been happy with Harlows products and service... However this last experience changed my mind... The service was shambolic! Part of my order was 'internet only'... (to be delivered or collected at Long Whatton) After four attempts ('Try again' displayed) I gave up. I was going to Long Whatton anyway to deliver some drawings of profiles I needed machined... So I called in at the click and collect office on my waw to the shop counter to explain my frustration with their internet 'service'. I then went to the shop counter to place my order for the profiles... Because it was Saturday they couldn't quote... and therefore I couldn't pay!! I agreed that they could phone me Tuesday with a quote. At this point, the gentleman from the click and collect office came up to the counter to inform me " I don't know why our Internet was giving you problems...Your order has just come through the system and your payment has been accepted"! I said I was glad... but I would have to check that only one payment had been taken. It was agreed that once I had been given a quote and accepted, the whole order ( profiled timber and the Internet order) would be delivered together. Tuesday arrived... a quote was phoned through... I accepted and tried to pay... but because the delivery address was different from my bank details it was not permitted. A compromise was accepted... the person that the delivery was for could phone through and pay the balance of the order... and arrange a delivery day. Which is what happened that same Tuesday. The delivery was arranged for a week on the Thursday. The young lady the delivery was for had taken a day off work to be in for said delivery. It never happened! She rang me... I rang you!! It turned out that one of the required profiles was missing it's rebate. BUT NOBODY LET EITHER MYSELF OR THE END CUSTOMER KNOW!!! In fairness, once I had made our displeasure known you did make every effort to get the order finished and delivered for the Saturday morning.”

“Brilliant. Timber was as expected and Sean at the Long Whatton depot was a fantastic help - he went out of his way to cut my timber to the lengths I required so I could fit it in my car. This saved me a massive amount of time and effort it would have took me forever to. He offered to do this without me asking - brilliant customer service! Can’t recommend Harrow’s high enough!”

“Ordered batons online and was delivered on chosen date and the driver called about an hour before arrival and helped me carry them through to the back garden. Only small negative was some of the lengths were a bit damaged or had knot holes in them, the driver made a note on the paperwork and said I’d be able to exchange the bad ones once I’d sorted through them, however I was able to make use of them all”

“Absolutely Brilliant. As a committed DIYer and hobbyist joiner and builder, I've used Harlows on and off for 20+ years. They've always delivered and are happy to offer advice when I haven't quite known what I need. Materials are always of good quality and in far better condition than those from larger DIY stores, plus they consistently deliver on time.”
