“The Traditional Oak Smoked Haddock of my last order was very tough and the fish quality poor not flaky and suspect had been frozen before smoking. Not up to the standard of my usual supplier from Grimsby. You asked for my review and I am not seeking replacement or compensation. Thank you DG”

“I am sure the compost will be absolutely fine, texture, colour & consistency look good but the delivery charges by the kilo weight will probably prohibit me from buying from here again, which is a shame as I use a lot ( I need the same amount again already)! I also have to question why every single bag came in it's own substantial cardboard box.....I ordered 10 bags & it took me an hour of wrestling & cutting to free the bags & I filled my whole recycling bin meant to last me a week! What a waste of resources!”

“We ordered seed potatoes. Pleased enough with those. Not at all pleased with the delivery. The delivery company messaged to say that they had called at our house but we were out so we would have to call at a not very nearby corner shop to collect our seed potatoes. Needless to say we had been at home, indeed were in the front garden so would most definitely have seen the delivery van if it had called. I know that Jamieson Brothers can't be responilble for the delivery company, but I emailed Jamieson's to inform them and got no response. I should have hoped they would have got in touch with the delivery company to ask them to try again, or even try once....”

“Ordered potatoes on a tuesday for a friday delivery. Had to chase on monday and was THEN sent and delivered on the following day. Potatoes are great quality, but for fairly expensive delivery, i’d expect the order to have been dispatched, especially given they had ample time. Got an apology, but a refund of the postage would have been the kind of thing that ensures future customers. Also, i ordered separately their mixed fruit & veg seeds deal “free” but with >£7 postage. Over half was cress. I understand it’s pot luck, but come on. Again though, i’m fairly confident of the quality.”

“I am very pleased with aspects of my orders this year,e.g. delivery and packaging. Unfortunately some of the seeds I ordered are out of date e.g. Expired 2024. I have emailed the company, asking for a refund and return label but received no email response after two weeks.”

“i have previously been very satisfied with your seed potatoes maturing into glorious main crops.Sadly ,this years desiree are very, very small and still barely chitting. and i cannot believe that they will grow into a satisfactory maincrop. I do appreciate the apalling weather conditions will not help if they continue but i believe i need to purchase some seed potatoes of the normal size to stand any chance of producing decent main crops from elsewhere. kind regards keith dennis”

“I ordered 2kg each of Lady Christl, Charlotte and Desiree seed potatoes. The Lady Christl and the Charlotte were of very good quality as I expected for Jamieson Brothers. The Desiree, however, was not. They almost all are covered in what appears to be scab. I thought, seed potatoes are suppposed to be disease free. These Desiree ones don't seem to be. Very disappointing and I won't be ordering Desiree again.”

“2KG PICASSO 2KG SWIFT 2KG ESTIMA Ordered and received the above seed potatoes. I have used Jamiesons for the past few years because of the quality. However this year’s ordered include quite a few damaged or small potatoes 7 picasso spuds were damaged with fork marks or cuts and one rotting. Estima varied in size with many small ones. Swift all fine. These were labelled as premium seed potatoes. Quality control seems a bit off for premium’s. Cheers Mike”

“Very disapointed to receive my order in very poor packaging. Box was ripped both top and bottom were open. Having had potatoes for many years from JB this is the worst condition they have ever arrived in . Can i suggest you use the paper sacks again never had any issues with them, and also could use to store the potatoes at digging time. The boxes are not fit for purpose to withstand the rigors of parcel delivery.”
