“Are you able to recover your Investment Funds had to seek help until I was direct ted to Sharon @ proton .me or SHARONRECOVERINGEXPERTS at g ma il dot c 0 m and his Recovery company and Foundation helped recover all the money”
“By far the worse car ins company I have ever had, avoid at all costs (and mine was very expensive, considering I am paying £140. Less this year with the AA)
I emailed them within the time limit to notify them of an indecent I had in my car, they did respond with wanting more evidence which I sent, that was in April 24 and to date mid Aug 24 no contact from them, no acknowledgement, no calls, no return email. I decided to sort the problem myself than deal with this company. Without going into too many details, I would seriously reconsider taking any insurance out with this company. That's my experience and wanted to share it so to avoid anyone else being ripped off, the sad part is, even with this review no one from Pepercorn Ins wili read this and contact me. My fault for being so stupid allowing myself to take car Ins with them in the first instance, live and learn.”
“Had a no fault car accident in December 2023. I wasn’t even in the vehicle, I watched it happen from my living room window.
Supplied photos, videos and 2 witnesses. Obviously a no fault claim and as part of the policy I’m supposed to be able to recover the £425 excess fee through the legal cover/no fault claim protection/etc.
8 months later and they still can’t provide a refund or place liability for the refund. It feels like once you submit your claim it just sits in a pile of paperwork locked away in a dusty room cabinet. There has never been any updates that I haven’t initiated contact for. I suspect they haven’t even progressed any attempt to place liability.
Complained and received a final response saying that it’s progressing at an expected rate. So I expect I’ll be waiting until 2050 for them to resolve liability and refund my claim.
Of course now when I come to renew car insurance, obviously with a different provider. My no claims is lost and in limbo. So my insurance will cost more until this is sorted.
An expensive mistake! Do not go with this provider if you’ve sorted price low to high.”
“Avoid at all costs.
My car was hit by a stolen vehicle and I tried to claim via this Insurance who I had been with just over 6 months. They was super difficult to get a hold of, took 21 days to respond to emails and managed to get out of paying me after coming up with 4 separate reasons why they should pay me. Never have I ever had to declare my current milage to an insurance company, nor did they even ask (it must have been in the small print) not only did they not pay me put for my car they decided it would be right to also write my car off when it only cost £2,000 to repair when my car was valued over £15,000 at the time of the accident.
I'm so glad the MIB has paid me out because I would have been stuck with a Cat S car with no way of paying back my PCP. These guys don't care, they are a horrible company and just care about themselves.
Pay the extra to be with the big guys, I've learnt my lesson and I hope you take this on board aswell. Please avoid, this is not me been bitter, it's me letting you know my experience.
Thank you for reading.”
“Finally I have an offer for my vehicle which was written off due to a non fault accident! It took me to finally lose my temper with Peppercorn/Auxillis for them to get back to me despite numerous emails and non answered phone calls. They’re quick to take your money, but when it comes to making a claim they don’t want to know. This has been my worst nightmare, I’ve not been able to sleep due to the worry they have caused me! They’ve made me a nervous wreck! Fingers crossed the money will be paid into my account next week??”
“To add to all the other 1 star reviews ,this insurance company is the worst I have ever dealt with. They use another company to handle claims ( Davies motor claims) who if you read their reviews, go hand in hand with Peppercorn. Comparison sites should validate the credibility of these companies to allow them to be on comparison sites . Avoid at all costs”
“What a shower of s**t. Don’t go there! They are absolutely awful. Don’t answer any emails, just automated replies. I’ve got dozens of them! I had a no fault accident over 2 months ago, my car has been written off, I was supposed to get an offer on 7th May but I’m still waiting. Worst insurance company ever”
“It has been an absolute shambles all of a sudden the criteria has changed and i do not fall into that area and cant renew my insurance and wont give me a proper answer. quick enough to take my money in a lump sum last year. i do honestly believe its an age thing i'm only 62 i do hope these people live long enough to experience this”
“Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. Still trying to make a claim for a non fault accident 6 months later which still hasn't been resolved even though we had witnesses, the police on scene and videos and photos. They have 3rd party companies to process claims and car hire which never contact you and under value your car by £2500 from their own original valuation on the their magical AI website when you take out the policy. Their inspection team I reckon doesn't exist as I got a copy of the inspection report and all of the details were incorrect and even said they didn't know where the location of my car was so clearly haven't even looked at it.
They never call or email you and even when they say a manager will call you back they don't. You write to the CEO telling him about the poor service his and the 3rd party companies are providing and you don't get any response or any escalation to get things resolved. Never an apology and one phone call without chasing in 6 months.
They also have a payment problem from their underwriters Wackam so even if you request the interim payment it does get paid for now over 2 weeks.
Do not use this insurance company or anyone that the Motor Davies group provides a claim service for or Wackam underwriters.
There should be an option for zero stars”
“Accident over 2 weeks ago now. I've been on the phone to them twice and both times have been told they will 'escelate' it.
The last call said they are using a company named Auxillis to look at my car. I emailed them and they said they have no instructions so can't tell me anything.
They are closed on a weekend and that is the only time I'm not at work so I'm stuck calling them an hour before work since they open at 9am. - it takes them an hour to answer though.
I am none the wiser about whats happening with my car, it was taken to a compund and for all I know it's probably still there.
I've had to get 2 busses to work because I didn't opt for a hire car, but also can't get a courtesy car as it's not with any repairers yet and that is only provided if it's being repeaired (and the garage has one available) - however my airbags deployed so I assume it will be a write-off.. so no courtesy car and looking at previous reviews it seems like I'll be waiting months for a payout if that is the case.”
“Absolute waste of time. Wrote a car off (not my fault), called to let them know about the accident, asked about the courtesy car which I had on my policy to be told its “subject to availability”. So I pay for it but whether or not I get one - remains a lottery. And they never provided one. In fact the other party’s insurance (eSure) called and offered me a hire car paid for!!! They then offered a joke of a settlement amount for a car which I disputed and 2 weeks later they increased the value and raised the payment (22nd of March) and I was told money will be sent within 14 days. Well it is now 23rd of April and for the last 3 weeks all I have been told was “banking issues”. Let’s not be silly with banking issues for 3+ weeks. Basically avoid like plague, they will take your money in a blink of an eye - but try and get a service you pay for out of them - your chances are slim to none. AVOID!”
“Worst experience ever. I’ve had a no fault accident, it’s now become my worst nightmare because Peppercorn never get back to me. All I get is generated auto responses from them. I only insured with them because they had such good reviews on Compare the Website. Obviously fake reviews. Won’t be using Compare the Website ever again either! I’m seriously considering reporting them to the insurance ombudsman”
“When I changed my address they said I had a claim on my previous policy which I didn't and charged me extra money or they were going to cancel my policy.”
“Will never use again. I have never complained about a car insurance company before. I have had to make phone call after phone call to try and get windscreen sorted. Then when I complained about the service and myself having to do the above. I was called a liar and told it was down to me to answer my phone. Which I found strange as they did not have my number as they wrote it down wrong. Shocking service.”
“After being scammed i contacted these clowns to explain that when i get sorted I'll clear my bill, two days later my bill went from £52 to £85, no one to contact about this.
Waited for over 2 hours for online chat.
Stay away from these people.”
“Worst decision I ever made. Wish I’d gone with a more reputable company. Very poor customer service and if you make a claim they don’t want to know. Cancelled my policy via text. In the process of referring to FOS.”
