“Pinwheel is a pretty good setup. Lots of flexibility and control. I’ve been using it for my family for a little over a year, and it’s not perfect, but developers have made significant improvements over that time, and their customer support has always been responsive and effective.”

“While my oldest child was able to find a couple workarounds for the service, the service was great. Any workarounds they found were reported to Pinwheel support. The phones, service, and controls were excellent and will consider Pinwheel for my other children when they come of age for a phone.”

“I love the peace of mind with my child's use of a smartphone. There are so many risks to giving a child a smartphone or similar device, and I love that I can check in with the dashboard whenever there might be a concern. As a parent and child therapist, I love that I can expand her limits and freedoms with the device as she gains more responsibilities. There are some glitches with the system that I wish would be fixed such as sometimes her phone will stop working and she has to reset it and even restart it before calls and texts will go through. Sometimes her pictures from approved contacts also will not go through. The apps are limited as she likes to have some things that are trending or popular with her friends such as games. But for the most part, the apps I want her to have she has access to. Although I am glad I can read all messages, even if they are deleted, I wish there was a flag or alert for any deleted messages. I also wish for some alert or flag for certain words or phrases that parents could customize. I want to respect her privacy by not reading her messages, but if there was a concerning topic I would want an alert so I could look into it such as "suicide". Overall, this is better in my opinion than giving her a regular smartphone with parenting settings that I have seen many teen clients hack very quickly.”

“Pinwheel has always been able to solve problems we experience with our phone. Today I worked with Tony R. My daughters apps all disappeared overnight, Tony quickly diagnosed the problem and promptly fixed it. We are back up and running.”

“The application has bugs and things do not always work as they should but the support service is responsive and the objective of teaching our children about technology in a safer way that we have better tools to manage is met.”

“I wanted my child to be able to call, text, and take and edit pictures...and nothing else! That's hard to find! Pinwheel lets her do all of those things, plus she has access to some good apps without being able to get on the internet!”

“We always get great help when we chat with Pinwheel. This time the troubleshooting tool was down so a resolution took a little longer than we hoped, which is the only reason I dropped from 5 stars to 4.”
