“This is so much more than a kids phone! This is a safe phone! This is a phone that you can customize to fit your personal needs regarless of age! You just need an accountablity partner! Pinwheel has done some amazing things! 1. They have developed their own operating system so that there are far fewer work arounds! 2. They give you options for which phone suits your needs best 3. They have the BEST customer service! Seriously... I have reached out several times and they have always been able to quickly help resolve the issues I was facing! The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is that it is bit difficult to get everything set up and going especially for an adult user that needs some "off-limit" apps, but it is doable especially with their great customer care! I would love to see them make some tune-ups for adult users. But I would absolutely recommend this product!”

“Rizza F was efficient and very helpful in purchasing a 2nd phone to add to our family. This was not an option online (purchasing a phone to add to an already existing plan to make it a family plan). Would recommend adding this as an option on online checkout so don't have to go through customer service to accomplish this. But Rizza F was great and made this very easy. Waiting on confirmation email, but seems that was complete the way I needed it order based on communication with her.”

“I love the service and what it allows us to do with the phones for the kids. I would like them to integrate the accounts into the ordering site so you can add devices and replace devices on the site without having to open a ticket with customer service.”

“Overall, Pinwheel has been a great choice for our family. The apps available are appropriate for our kid and they do allow for growth as they get older. The phone is a smartphone - of sorts - so my kid is happy. There's some little pet peeves in the service that annoy me, like only being able to have one parent portal on one phone instead of having it on both parents phones, but it's not enough for me to stop using the service. The phone itself can sometimes be a bit laggy at times, but again - not a dealbreaker for us. Every time I have had to contact support, they have been responsive and helpful. When my kid broke their phone through a spectacular chain of events at the skate park, Tony R. was able to get us sorted out with a replacement right away. I regularly recommend Pinwheel to my friends and family as a great monitored phone option.”

“Wonderful, easy-to-use, lots of parental controls, great customer service, constantly being up-dated with new features! Started with one kid and now adding another kid's phone 2 years later because we were so happy with the first one. Love the fact that apps are pre-screened by pinwheel so I know which apps to trust without having to do a ton of research.”

“Pinwheel is a great option for a first phone. Some of the limitations were a bit frustrating but now they've added the google play store and I'm able to give my child much more independence while still having the safety of knowing exactly what is being used on the phone. Whenever I have trouble with something, customer service has a live chat option that is stupendous! The representatives are very patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. I haven't had a problem yet that wasn't able to be fixed. I will definitely be getting another Pinwheel phone for my younger child when they reach an appropriate age.”

“My family has three pinwheel phones and are very thankful for the healthy environment it affords for our children. I held a star because I have been on the support chat several times for what seems to be software admin issues that I could not have solved on my own. Though it is inconvenient to take time to solve these problems, the staff has been pleasant and helpful every time.”

“Love the limitations and that there are no workarounds. Sometimes there are issues with apps downloading and updating and game data has been lost which is not ideal but the safeguards outweight that inconvenience”

“The pinwheel phone helps me keep the dangers of the internet somewhat at bay for my 13-year old. The phone does seem targeted towards a younger customer, without much of a plan to age with their consumer. My son has been using this phone for about two-plus years, and there is no mechanism to upgrade the phone when it breaks or feels out-of-date. In addition, it doesn't provide Apple-level support for obvious reasons. When you have an issue, the support system is dependent on the user/parent to carry a heavy lift toward trouble-shooting. That said, my teen is generally safer than his peers, I can stay in communication with him, and I am able to monitor his interactions with friends, while allowing him the freedom he needs at this stage.”

“Overall, I am very happy with the Pinwheel service. I have three Pinwheel phones, and though there are still glitches that need to be worked out, customer service has always been very helpful. I am willing to accept the minor inconveniences as the company continues to improve on their technology, as it is worth it for the value of being able to monitor my children's phones so thoroughly. I happily recommend Pinwheel to other parents seeking to protect their children from the filth in the world.”

“Pinwheel is a good phone company and is a good way to safely regulate kids on their phones. I do wish that I didn’t have to approve all the contacts because then if the person texts and there not in the contacts then it doesn’t work.”
