“Great idea, terrible phone. I purchased a phone from Pinwheel less than a year ago. In that time I have had to reach out to customer service multiple times due to issues with the phone- It won't send pictures even to approved contacts, the GPS location won't update for hours to days, the phone sends the same notifications 20-30 times at boot up and you cannot use it until it's done sending them. About a month ago, the phone stopped turning on or would shut itself off. It would eventually turn back on, but hours after you pushed the power button. Pinwheel said it needed a new battery and despite the phone being less than a year old they offered no warranty. I spent almost the price of the phone to replace the battery. Less than 2 weeks later the phone freezes during use and after restart will not go past the boot screen. I followed customer service's steps and it stopped turning on at all. Now they tell me I have to spend more money to repair it after wasting money on a repair it didn't need, or I can buy a whole new phone. Once again they do not stand behind their products and will not offer a replacement despite the phone being less than a year old. Why would I purchase a new phone from them when experience has shown their product to be a waste of money and their ability to fix their products mediocre at best.”

“Honestly, a brick would be better than this phone. It's relatively useless. My daughter can text and call. The camera app fills up quickly and then she can do nothing. Might as well just get her an apple watch. I do not recommend this phone. I have spent more time on the phone with customer service than she has spent enjoying it.”

“We love pinwheel for the most part however I would like more control over what apps I add to my child’s phone. Some of them that I request have a hard no that I can’t even authorize. Otherwise I love the peace of mind of knowing that she can’t receive links and videos and pics from those other than the ones I’ve provided permission to.”
