Brilliant!! I find out meetings very informative and supportive. We have discussed different options of medication and plenty of information. Great advice was given and I felt at ease and with a clear mind after the meeting. Thank you

Excellent. Where would I be without Dr. Villanova. Diagnosed my ADHD at 64. Knowing him for mostly 17 years I finally found out what was wrong with me. Best thing ever that he left the NHS to specialise in ADHD. This must be making lives young and older a better world to live in, As females we hide it, never knowing. A kind, down to earth, easy to talk to psychiatrist.

The meeting was challenging as my child was overwhelmed and not in the right of frame of mind to be sociable. He struggles with video appointments with people he doesn't know. However, hopefully Dr Vilanova was able to glean all the information that he needed to take to the MDT meeting. Thank you

Not quite what I expected. Unfortunately, I was late for the appointment and had called ahead so time was at a premium. However, I would have appreciated a friendlier introduction and greeting from the professional conducting the assessment of my child. My child was whisked off into a side room without an opportunity to settle him in. This is especially salient given that it was an ASD assessment and my child has social anxiety and is not great with unexpected change. We had travelled to the appointment and no refreshment was offered, not even a glass of water. Parents are directed to wait ( for 1.5 hours) in the tiny waiting area where you can hear the other sessions going on behind closed doors. The facilities in the building were fairly grotty. As for the assessment itself. I've no idea how that went as my child couldn't remember most of it and there was no feedback from the professional involved. The experience felt very impersonal. Obviously, the main focus is that my child feels comfortable with the experience and that the professional can gain some insight into my child's processing and behaviours to inform the final diagnostic decision making. However, in terms of how Rainbow Medical presents as a private provider of ADHD / ASD diagnostic assessments, it didn't feel very patient centred or friendly. My experience was fairly clinical. My child was able to manage the appointment so hopefully he was able to articulate what was needed. It would have been helpful to know more about the practioner beforehand to help prepare my child for their appointment. Private diagnostic screening is quick but expensive. Patient experience could be enhanced with a little more care and time to introduce yourselves and to welcome your clients both online and with in person appointments especially where you patients are children with understandably anxious parents.

I’m sorry to hear that your experience at Rainbow Medical did not meet your expectations. I will be speaking directly with the ADOS assessor today to review your feedback in detail. This is particularly concerning for us, as this is the first time we have received feedback of this kind regarding an ADOS assessment in the past two years. Every assessment follows a structured process to ensure quality and consistency. As you mentioned, you arrived around 40 minutes late for the appointment — which unfortunately would have limited the available time. The assessor would have needed to prioritise completing the assessment itself to ensure your child’s diagnostic process was not disrupted and to avoid impacting the next scheduled patient. That said, I appreciate that this may have affected the overall experience and how the start of the session felt. We take very seriously your comments about the need for a warmer introduction, a chance for your child to settle, and better information beforehand about the practitioner. These are valuable points, and we will review them carefully with our team. When we speak with families before appointments, we aim to run through the entire process so that everyone feels well prepared. I’m sorry if that did not come across clearly in your case. Thank you again for sharing your experience — it helps us make improvements to ensure that both children and parents feel supported and welcomed throughout their journey with us.

Amazing. So helpful and always explain everything so I understand what the plan is and the direction my treatment is going.
