“Being able to get reliable installers to quote on solar work is great. I appreciate the service. Of the three companies I contacted specifying that they should visit the site unfortunately none did prior to quotation. Also only one provided more than one option based on my situation. One only communicated via email and I got the impression this was fairly much an automated response.”

“I found the SolarQuotes system very helpful. I was given three suppliers. I contacted all of them. All had areal views of our house to work from, and two visited the house, one spending some time on the roof, assessing the shading problems. I had phone and personal consultations with all three. Two sent me two alternative quotes to consider, the third one. I finally chose this one. although slightly more expensive, but I was convinced by his detailed examination of our roof, and his explanation of the products he recommended. I believe that all three contractors would do a good job, and the detailed information they supplied helped me to understand much more about the ins and outs of solar installations.
NB I could not succeed in selecting a star from either the SolarQuotes or the customer service boxes. I would have rated both as Very Good.”

“Did a great job of lining up two installers who provided a quote within a week. Yet to have the system installed yet but both installers were excellent to work with so far with great communication.”
“I got 3 quotes for a battery to add on to my existing solar system. All 3 replied promptly and came to my house to check the site, switchboard and existing inverter.
The quotes were in the same ballpark, with each company offering different equipment, but all about the same capacity.
After also getting a quote from a company doing tv ads for comparison, and looking at payback time, I came to the conclusion that it would well over 10 years for payback I have decided not to purchase a battery just now, even after factoring in the upcoming tariff increases.
The 3 companies from Solarquotes referrals understood and accepted my decision and invited me to contact them again if my situation.
The tv advertiser was rather pushy but eventually gave up trying to convince me paying less to the electricity retailer was still better even though I would be paying more per year (and upfront) than I would be saving.”
