I can’t thank you enough for your fantastic help and your prompt reply to my emails. I spend numerous Hrs searching about solar systems and when I believed I know enough a friend of mine from QLD referred me to your site and I realised I knew very little. I emailed same details for solar system to 5 different installers recommended by friends and yourself and the quotes were very different. Of course the best quote was from installers recommend by yourself and with no hesitation I am going with Gnowee Solar. Their representative Shannel is fantastic to deal with. “The SolarQuotes website is a treasure trove of things solar in Australia. As little or as much as you need is available at the click of a mouse button ((or tap of a finger or pencil/stylus on touch devices. The site is clearly laid out and the sometimes-humorous text is usually accompanied by drawings, graphs and comparison tables, and videos.
I've learnt a good deal about current and possible future solar technologies: things have changed almost beyond recognition since we had our first solar power array installed in 2014. What I have greatly appreciated apart from the depth of knowledge (and the humour) has been independent viewpoints on everything from solar panels to EV chargers to systems installers.
The quotes system was very easy to use, and the SQ website's information was very helpful in interpreting and evaluating the resulting quotes that I received. The only 'problem' that I have here is choosing between excellent quotes. And that isn't really a problem!”

“Just like others, I started with Zero idea about solar. This website is very helpful, transparent and have competent pool of suppliers. Suppliers are very helpful from the quotation stage and never hesitate to answer queries from customer.

“I asked for 2 quotes and although both replied to my initial enquiry and said they would quote, only one company ended up doing so which was a little disappointing.
The company I ended up getting a quote from was highly professional and I commend them, but at the end of the day I couldn't justify their extra $900. Comparision other $4781 versus $5692 for the same thing. If their price had been a bit closer I likely would have gone with them as they offered great service.
And yes, there was a huge mix of quotes, but the $4781 I've mentioned above is for panels of similar quality and & the exact same inverter. I did get much cheaper quotes (as low as $2998), but they were, what I would consider to be, inferior products, with reviews leaving me questioning the quality of installation.”

“Only one of the 3 businesses that quoted made a genuine effort. One threw out an inflated quote that did not meet the requirements I set. Another only sent a quote after I emailed them a week after first contact, again not matching the inverter type requested. The third did all the things you would expect from a good operator, quotes met the 2 inverter types I wanted to be quoted, made follow-up calls and answered questions.
Don't go into this process believing the information in the "How Much do Solar Panels Cost" on the solarquotes website. There is nothing complicated about my install and is in fact easier than most because the prospective installer has access to house during building, yet even quotes using budget panels and inverter where above range listed on that page.”
