Found info on your site very useful (that's what my 4 stars above relate to) , and did get quotes from suggested installers plus others I followed up separately. Obviously different installers will have different ideas re panel layout, panel and inverter type, system efficiency vs other issues such as ease of cleaning, potential for storm damage, etc, so have been wading through a lot of those issues to come up with the most appropriate system for our situation. “I used solar quotes to source 3 quotes for a solar system for my house. 2 quotes were completed quickly both with 2 options. The third supplier is still in the mix with me trying to organise a suitable time for an inspection.
The process has me confused and worried that I will choose the wrong option and regret it later. The technology and product evolution appears to be changing at such a speed, with new products appearing that do not have reviews being quoted for me. All this with the uncertainty of feed in tariff values and battery purchase subsidies, makes it a minefield for the average punter. I feel like I need more help.”

The third needed to be prompted, which Solarquotes did for me, but they still seemed like they weren’t really interested in my job.
The best local company were also not included, which I found odd, until they informed me they will not install on tiles.
Overall, the system works, but the third recommendation let’s the experience down as they just don’t seem to want the business.”

“The 3 companies provided all contacted me within one week of the request, which was great. I found all to be very helpful and knowledgable. My only frustration is that there is no consistency in how quotes are documented. Some provide a limited breakdown of costs (Solar/EV charger/Battery), but most do not. Having a lump sum quote makes it very hard to 'compare apples to apples'. Each company has their favourite suppliers, who I assume provide them with the best wholesale prices for items, and this means that their recommendations are possible motivated by profit to some extent rather than what's absolutely best for the customer. To be clear, all companies who quoted were very clear and upfront about why they believed their recommendation were appropriate for my house. They all gave me plenty of their time and answered all my questions. I would (and do) recommend SolarQuotes to friends and family. It would be great if you could influence the companies to provide a standard itemised format for their quotes.”

“Solar quotes were very efficient in providing potential installers to quote. They ( Installers ) mostly all replied however rather than wasting your time, we decided the capital cost of solarand battery would not provide a reasonable return at this stage, given a 2 person household and relatively small electricity bills. But nevertheless was a solar quotes vetted company
There was one company recommended that I didn't particularly feel comfortable with
Which was a publicly listed company and in my opinion behaved like one, higher pressure sales tactics and poor reviews when it came to after sales service

“This website and process is very helpful. I appreciated the follow up to check how thigns were going and the checklists that help you make an informed decision. The ability to contact and ask further questions is a godsend. Only comment I would make is that I chose a solar provider who made the time to come out, meet with us, check the house layout,usage, meter board, manhole, roof cavity, current hot water system etc, provide options and work out the best solution in a very quick timeframe. This was important to us and allowed us to ask questions and feel comfortable with the provider. Suggestion for your providers would be to ensure that they have that capability as opposed to relying on emails and/or a phone call. I would recommend that anyone thinking of moving to solar utse this resource.”
