“It’s almost the perfect watch for me. Design and materials are just fantastic. The only thing that really frustrates me is the movement noise. It’s not acceptable. It sounds like a very very cheap watch at the point of other people asking me if it was broken. Other suggestions would be a bit smaller case and the same back plate and crown of the sport edition. Please, please fix the movement 🙏. It’s ruining this watch that I consider a master piece.”

Dear Daniel, thank you for your review and your feedback. :) That your watch makes noises is not unusual - with some mechanical movements, these noises are even necessary. The reason for this is bearing play. There must be a small "air space" between the individual components. Without this, the parts cannot move freely and regularly. Because of these free spaces, the rotor can be heard clearly during certain movements. Best wishes from Hamburg!

“This review is for order number #E10017980. The watch came very fast in only 1 day from Germany to Greece. Unfortunately the watch was not working. The informed me to replace the battery with expenses covered by sternglas. The watch now working on but the expenses 3 days later has not being covered yet. Also that means that the watch was working for at least 2 years before I received it because the battery was completely empty.”

Dear Emmanouil, thank you for your feedback! Unfortunately we have a little misunderstanding here. when the battery is empty that doesn't mean, that the watch ran some time. During production, it can unfortunately happen that a faulty battery makes it through quality control and is then installed in the watch. That is unfortunately what happened in this case. :( Therefore, we have asked you to have the battery replaced. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact us!

“ich frohe mich , dass ich endlich Sternglas haben konnte. Ich spare Geld und wartet ein Jahr. Design ist toll. Aber, Zeiger der Uhr kommt sich zu spät. Zwischen 2 Wochen, es kommt sich ca. 10 Minuten verspätet. Ich weiß nicht, wegen Batterie oder Anfänglich schlecht ist. Wenn es Möglichkeit gibt, bitte sag mir um es dazu.”

“Was happy with the watch itself, but the leather strap started to come apart within a few months. When asked about it, they suggested replacing the strap every year. Bit frustrated that there is no mention of this on the website anywhere as I'd expect the strap to last longer.”

“This watch is pretty but it is not a readable chronograph. The minute subdial and hour subdial are identical, resulting in a 2-1/2 minute interval which is useless for a chronograph. I purchased this as a tool for my job and it is unable to complete that function. This is a fashion watch only. Customer service showed no interest in maintaining customer happiness.”

We are very sorry that the watch is not what you expected and that you can't use it for your work. Unfortunately we can't create a new dial with new functions espacially for your watch. “Wanted to order one strap but postage was £17; half the price of the strap. So ordered another one to get free postage. Then they turned up and I realised why: two straps delivered on a big box! Why?!! Deliver it in a envelope and charge reasonable postage. Nice watches but this was a bit rubbish Sternglas!”

“Overall good quality, but the leather strap tends to wear out quickly. Also, when wearing the watch loose how I like it, the adjustment button starts rubbing heavily on your hand. It could have been with a smaller button or without so sharp edges to be perfect.”

“2nd time I order a watch with Sternglas, 2nd time I return it. This time, wrong watch has been sent. And again, pictures on website are always much better than the actual timepiece which felt pretty cheap in real life. I give 3 stars though for the quality of customer service, and on time delivery. A pity the watches are over promising and not quite delivering..”

“Wanted to love this watch but all the warnings about dull, lifeless paper-white watch faces were true. There's no texture or embossing, no special details that make the watch feel as expensive as it is. But I could've excused that... The worst feature to me is the "gold" plating. It's very dull and almost grey-green. Does not match my other gold jewelry. But the watch is well-made! I love the domed glass and water resistance, would definitely keep if not for the poor color. Will take a few more days to decide but will likely return the product. "Gold" does not mean gold as advertised”

The gold color of our watches is of course a matter of taste, as the shades of color always differ depending on the jewelry you wear and the color you are used to. “I love my Sternglas watch, but I was disappointed in the transaction. The watch I bought was advertised at $269, but Sternglas charged me $274 (which the amount shown on the receipt from the company itself). A company spokesperson claims that the difference is due to PayPal's currency conversion rate, which I don't understand. I would expect the PayPal receipt to show a different amount than the one advertised by Sternglas, but Sternglas itself should have charged me their advertised price. While I love the watch, I am annoyed by this discrepancy, small as it may be.”

Depending on the exchange rate and payment method, transaction fees are charged by the banks and we have to pass these on :/.
