I ordered a Naos watch nearly two years ago, because I very much liked the design. I have been wearing it almost every day since then, so the original leather strap wore down recently. To have a more durable one, I decided to order the Milanaise 20 silver, which I received super fast - pretty much the only positive aspect about this purchase. I needed to take the strap and the watch to a repair's shop because I could not fit the new strap in. It should've been a straightforward thing to do, but after trying it for a long time, I realised that something is not right. And indeed, I was told in the shop that the strap is a few millimeters too wide to fit into the watch, so they had to use a precision tool to make it shorter (costing me extra money...) They also told me that the strap itself is not a quality one - and I had to agree with them once I managed to put on the watch. The strap moves in a weird way and does not give the impression of a durable one, which is extremely disappointing for this price. All in all, that was my last purchase at Sternglas and I'm definitely not going to recommend it to anyone.

Color is very different from the pictures. It’s much lighter and desaturated, it feels like it has been left drying in the sun for years.

The watch looks good, but that's where all its merits end. It is so inaccurate that I have to check it every week or two. It reminds me of the old days when we only had Soviet watches with such accuracy. Better run away from this company because you will get the most inaccurate watch in the world with the explanation that this is so by design.

Good evening, On the products nothing to object, I look forward to a naos pro with white case to complete the collection. On the shipping and packaging service of your products I am deeply embarrassed for you. On two shipments within 2 months both times both watches and cintuirini were sent in bubble wrap not even if it was a return for defective products. While on the previous occasion I was offered solutions with a refund of part of the amount and discounts on future orders today I am met with a lame excuse that due to restyling of the packaging they were not sent in the original chintz. We are talking about orders with the Black Fridays discount and for a structured company like yours not to have the original packaging for its customers I find it an unforgivable and above all not very credible fall of style. I was sooo excited to get this watch and mad at myself for not doing more research. The dial is silver but in all the pictures it looks white which is what I was hoping for. Even review videos make it look white. I did go back and review the sternglas webpage again and it does show the dial is silver, so I guess shame on me for missing that detail. Sadly the worst part of the watch is how loud the rotor inside the watch is. It’s is very loud and can be hard by anyone around me in a quiet space ( board room). I have owned mechanical automatic watches and they are not this loud. It sounds cheap and I probably won’t be wearing this as a dress watch like I had anticipated. I own 57 watches and this one was sadly a disappointment coming out of the box.

Teh rotor needs space to move and as it is a quite big one in the Hamburg automatic it can happen that it produces more noise than rotors in other watches do. I still have not received my watch. It’s stuck I customs requiring manufacturer information. Sternglas support has not responded to my request for the required information. DHL is charging $30/day for the delay. Extremely frustrating.

Your delivery arm is terrible your customer service is poor as the first response to email tells the customer how much they are disrespected when it tells them they won’t be responded to for up to 10 days, DUMB whose idea was that!?!?! The company’s packaging was so bad the watch came inverted face down in the box moving around easily loose not secure . Now I have a moderate collection of 25 watches so my experience with the fine points of the manner in which a collector expects to be treated from the watch maker which is why I order from the company when I can because it gives me an assurance of the way I will be treated. I easily could have bought this from a reseller like Amazon EBay etc. but, I chose to align myself with Sternglas. After all, it comes down to the watch and after close inspection, I bought the automatic version for more money, the watch was not worth @$500.00. After this terrible experience I then get this email, now after the numerous back and forth of about 20 email your email arrived which shows me yet again Sternglas did not do any homework on my experience. If you want to re-establish a potential customer Sternglas should review their entire business model and contact me with a sincere approach. Michael Emma

I've wear the watch for 3 days and it keep on stop every 15 minuest. I sent it back via DHL. Please replace it with; 1. same watch style, 2. same wrist band 3. Not AUTOMATIC.

Poor customer service. I've been trying to get in touch with the company to return the watch I purchased, but they haven't been responding to any of my requests. The watch I received is much smaller than I expected, and it's just not what I was looking for. It's frustrating that the company isn't addressing my concerns, and I'm disappointed with the overall experience.

I ordered a watch and received it. A few days after wearing it, the winding stem was broken. I'm really disappointed. This is not a qualitative watch and for 200 euros it is a scam....

Just received the delivery of a Hamburg Argo limited edition today which was a clearly used product. Customer service was trying to convince me it is normal for a new watch to have the foil detached/ reattached poorly, scratches on the strap and signs of wear. This is what everyone should expect in a new watch, right? Why not simply accept that you have sold a returned/refurnished product instead of a new one? The Hamburg Argos model is a 1499 limited edition which apparently you cannot order it via the main website anymore. I happened to order via a direct link I had saved in my browser and was showing under 1% available, so probably they're currently just selling the returned items on this model now advertised as "new". Having said that, I was willing to buy the Naos model instead (not willing to risk another refurbished on the Argos) and only get a partial refund, however customer service wouldn't give a toss offering any solution. Good luck with such an attitude Sternglas. In the cut-throat watch industry you won't get too far. And you really shouldn't.

Moin A, First of all, we would like to apologize again. It shouldn't happen that the watch arrives in such a condition! As we have informed you, we do not send used watches, but these things can happen due to the manual attachment of the bracelet. However, this does not change the fact that this should not happen and was a mistake on our part! :( Unfortunately, our colleague unintentionally did not respond to your request for a discount for the Noas - very unfortunate! Poor quality. If I could give zero stars, I would. I received the Berlin watch as a gift and in less than a week the strap broke. Customer service was of little help, simply informing me that the strap is not covered under the warranty program. Waste of money.

If your strap has broken due to a material defect, we will certainly replace it for you. :) Please send a photo of the defect to our customer service so that we can get the best overview of the issue. You will understand that the wear and tear of straps through daily use is not covered under the two-year warranty, as this wear and tear is dependent on factors such as skin/sweat, etc.

Very disappointed with the carrier’s service. The carrier delivered the package to the wrong address and I have no way of getting a refund or sending a new watch. I have no response from Sternglas support and the carrier…

I had 2 Sternglas orders cancelled. One through an authorized retailer (hsJohnson) and one through Sternglas directly. The first order was cancelled after 3 weeks of waiting as the retailer said that Sternglas never delivered the product to them. My order through Sternglas was cancelled, despite me working closely with their team to get an order in before Christmas. My order now won’t arrive in time. Very disappointed with my experience.

What went wrong..? Well, this company do not reply to emails (I sent an email Thursday 23 November at 18:24 GMT). I called their phone number which costs me a high fee because it is a German phone number and there is only a recorded message without ability to speak to a human (the message of course is in German not the International language of English). How does this company expect to sell to non-German countries? Please will you look for my email of 23 November and respond (today is 29 November)
