“I've had this watch on my wrist for a week now and I still keep looking at it, the clean uncluttered face looks so right even the six o'clock date fits the design, wear comfort is up there and it's the first watch I've not had to change the strap it's that soft and supple finishing of the body is comparable with more expensive brands topped off with a beautiful domed sapphire crystal this review sound more like an advertisement but to me it's a well rounded watch that can be used in all occasions”

“Just received the delivery of a Hamburg Argo limited edition today which was a clearly used product. Customer service was trying to convince me it is normal for a new watch to have the foil detached/ reattached poorly, scratches on the strap and signs of wear. This is what everyone should expect in a new watch, right? Why not simply accept that you have sold a returned/refurnished product instead of a new one? The Hamburg Argos model is a 1499 limited edition which apparently you cannot order it via the main website anymore. I happened to order via a direct link I had saved in my browser and was showing under 1% available, so probably they're currently just selling the returned items on this model now advertised as "new". Having said that, I was willing to buy the Naos model instead (not willing to risk another refurbished on the Argos) and only get a partial refund, however customer service wouldn't give a toss offering any solution. Good luck with such an attitude Sternglas. In the cut-throat watch industry you won't get too far. And you really shouldn't.”

“This is my second Sternglas watch I like the Bauhaus minimalist design approach. Was seeking - a more masculine watch with a diameter approaching 42 mm and a thickness of less than 10 mm with excellent time-keeping accuracy. I like watches that are unobtrusive and slide easily under a shirt sleeve. Appreciate the colour harmony between the NATO green strap, gunmetal case, and GMT hand. The woodland photograph includes additional colour harmony. Bonus - 100 metres of water resistance Realised - for me - there is only a choice of 1 watch. This is now my everyday watch which forms part of a small watch collection.”

“This is my second Sternglas watch and as much as I like the design and look of the watch it bothers me that this watch loses more than 2 minutes in less than a week. It seems to be a general problem with Sternglas watches because my first watch from Sternglas had the same issue. Even after I had the first watch serviced by Sternglas, it still loses considerable time. I had hoped that this was a one-off but unfortunately not. They are pretty to look at, but not usable as working timepieces when accurate time is a necessity. I think that in this price range more can be expected. I will not consider Sternglas watches anymore.”

Moin from Hamburg! Thank you for your review. :) It should be emphasized, that a mechanical movement never runs as accurate as a battery-powered movement. This is due to the construction of an automatic movement and cannot be avoided with any mechanical movement. The manufacturer MIYOTA specifies a tolerance deviation of -20 to +40 seconds for the 821A movement, which is used in the STERNGLAS automatic models, and a deviation of -10/+30 seconds per day for the 9015 movement. So two minutes in a week are still in deviation. Greetings from Hamburg. :)

“I purchased the Sternglas Naos Argo Limited Edition watch after seeing it on the website and being bowled over by the colours and minimalist design. The purchasing process via the site was straight forward and the watch arrived promptly and well packaged. Customer services have been quick to respond to any queries by email (they are based in Germany so calling was not possible). The watch itself looks great in the flesh and is light and well built with quality materials and at a reasonable price-point. I would certainly recommend Sternglas and buy from them again.”
