“A very high quality watch, after purchase I took apart the watch for hand engraving and could tell the components are of good quality. Everything fits nice and solid. I will absolutely purchase more in the future to engrave. Shipping was amazingly fast! Got my watch in 3 days!”

“I had some questions before choosing a watch so I contacted Sternglas and they responded very quickly and helpfully. I ordered a Naos Automatik one Wednesday evening and it was delivered to me in the UK on Friday morning. The watch itself is lovely. I wanted to check the accuracy of the automatic movement so I set the watch precisely last Saturday. A week later the watch has gained three seconds, so much more accurate than I had anticipated. I ordered a Milanese strap to go with the watch as well as the leather one it came with and both look great with the watch. Overall I’m very pleased with my purchase, from initial communications, delivery and the watch itself, Sternglas have done a great job.”

Moin Robert, Thanks for your feedback! We are really sorry to hear that you're not satisfied with your timepiece. Here a little information: In production, the second hand is pressed onto the second pinion. While it is theoretically possible to align it perfectly with the markings on the dial, it is a highly complex and time-consuming process that is typically reserved for high-end watches with four-digit price tags. Furthermore, since the second hand moves every second, even a tiny discrepancy of a thousandth of a millimeter can cause the hand to deviate by 1 mm after 1,000 seconds. This is unfortunately normal in everyday use, as the second hand can be influenced by environmental factors such as magnets (e.g., in electronic devices) and others. It is not feasible for us to achieve greater precision while staying within our price range. We consulted our watchmaking workshop to inquire about the possibility of adjusting the second hand afterwards. The watchmaker informed us that it is technically possible but not recommended, as it would require disassembling the entire watch. Moreover, due to natural influences, the hand could potentially deviate again after some time, rendering the adjustment temporary. You are welcome to return the watch free of charge. We also offer various quartz models without a second hand, which might suit your preferences. :) Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions. We hope we could provide some clarity!
