I ordered Kiln Dried Hardwood Logs - Max Crate 900KG The firewood was lovely, the price not unreasonable but the service was very poor. The order confirmation email states 'When your order reaches the local depot (within 2–3 days), our Haulage Company will contact you to arrange delivery. ...We aim to deliver orders within 3-5 working days of receipt'
I was never contacted to arrange delivery. Five days after paying for my order I contacted The Coal Shop and was told delivery could be arranged for Monday. I was not given confirmation of that delivery date despite my emailed acceptance of that day, not contacted by the delivery company, and the delivery didn't arrive that day.
It ultimately took 10 days for delivery. That wouldn't have been a big issue if I'd ever had communication about the order.”

Canal barge transport could be quicker -Stoke - Middlewich - Shropshire Union - Beeston, for example, then motor haulage to Noth West & Cumbria sales.”

Coal arrived 4 days later well packaged and of good quality delivered to my driveway.
However the local haulage company never contacted us to arrange a delivery date. When it arrived I was at the Doctors and my wife was just leaving the house. 5 minutes later nobody would be at home to accept delivery.

I did have to ring the coal shop after a few days as I had not heard anything from the delivery company,they were great I was then given a delivery date at my convenience. “Top quality dry logs delivered promptly - these birch logs burn fairly quickly but give out good heat and a cheerful, bright fire. They also look decorative in the log basket. Covered over drop bag keeps the logs dry until they can be stacked. Reasonable value at the sale price, maybe a tad expensive at the full price.”
