“The deals are quite good. Unfortunately, my booked delivery never arrived because their courier, DPD, failed to deliver. It took a week to resolve the issue. The packaging could be improved by including clearer details on feeding methods and storage instructions. While refrigeration dates are listed, more comprehensive storing guidance would be helpful. Adding cooking recommendations on the labels would also enhance the experience. The constant emphasis on refrigeration makes me wonder about the freshness and overall quality of the meat, and I’d like more transparency on the sourcing—especially given the large portion sizes. That said, I might consider ordering again despite my disappointing first experience. The customer service was only online and this added to my frustration that I could not speak to a human sooner.”

“I was hesitant of ordering as its not technically my "local" butchers, I read many reviews and jumped straight in on the BBQ hamper ready for a family event.. and well the quality of the meat was exceptional, it was packaged well and delivered on time.. I will be ordering again”

“firstly my delivery was sent to house 4 doors down when the guy who lives there told delivery guy was wrong house he just drove off, DPD. it didnt arrive till pm rather than am and most of meat was thawed, so didnt refreeze chicken just in case opened it 3 days later and chicken stank, so binned it. tried to contact fat butcher, just to get message wasnt sent as,,Your message wasn't delivered because the destination email system rejected your message for security or policy reasons. so no feedback discusting will never use again £90 wasted.”

“I thought i'd try my first online butcher order. My overall thoughts was, its alright but i wasnt blown away by it. ill break it down a little: the packaging was first rate, really well cooled etc, a bit battered from transit but i doubt thats the fat butchers fault. I dont know why but i thought all the meat would be UK sourced, it wasnt. The pork elements were the best, and ironically they were from NI & UK! Steaks were ok, felt like a little thin but maybe thats just me. The chicken had a lot of 'juice' in the packets and significant size differences between them! some were huge others were like a nugget. I havent tried the lamb but again some significant size difference, some a very very thin some are very fat! Overall i felt like this was the same quality you'd get at any supermarket. I also use a local butcher in my village and this wasnt up to the same standard, sorry.”

“Very impressed with the delivery side of my order At the moment we have only eaten the Sausages stake and chicken breasts plus the salt and pepper chicken breasts and are very happy with the quality I'll definitely be ordering more from the fat butcher”

“I’ve been using this company for about three months now and have made around nine orders. I honestly can’t find anything bad to say about them. The meat is top-notch, and the packaging and delivery are awesome, definitely five stars. I’m really glad I saw their ad and decided to give them a shot, it’s one of the best choices I’ve made all year.”

“Your meat seems to be very good but delivery was very poor. Thay collected from you on a Wednesday i didn't receive it till Friday . So it wasn't very cold The blood in the pork was a milky colour and the chicken breast didn't look very fresh.”

“Mostly excellent good tasty meats delivery is impeccable too, shame some offers are only one per purchase, bulk chicken was disappointing as only had 10 chicken breasts not the 15-18 as advertised although weight was as advertised. Need to have a larger variety of meats or restock more frequently overall very pleased and will continue to use”

“I got fed up with the meat from supermarkets I was paying top money and it was awful shrinking and fat going through the middle of a joint so I ordered meat from The Fat Butcher and I was very pleased with the meat and my family was pleased it was worth every penny, and the meat was top quality”
