Hi there, we’re Thread The Word!

We’re an Australian business located in Melbourne and dedicated to creating beautiful, personalised blankets. All of our blankets are an order of one and knitted just for you.

We are very passionate about making all of our products in Australia. We have been producing personalised gifts for over 10 years in the photo industry.

Our blankets are knitted from 100% combed cotton. Combed cotton is super soft and we do not use any harmful chemicals so they are perfectly safe for babies and children.

We hope you love your blanket as much as we loved creating it!

“I ordered a beautiful, single name blanket and it arrived as promised and is very soft! Shipping was fast and easy. Unfortunately, they pre-launder the blanket with a very heavily scented laundry soap. This is not appropriate for infant skin/noses, and took several machine washes to come out.”

“We ordered a blanket for a present for my little Grandaughter Fom behalf of a very dear friend , the quality was great came exactly as we wanted it with her name on it . Communication & delivery was prompt and my son & Daughter in law loved it . Packaged beautifully and washing. & care instructions were also easy to understand . Highly recommend if you are looking for a very special gift .”

“This company has bent over backwards to help me. I provided the wrong address and of course the delivery could not be made and was returned to them. Within minutes of the return, we had been able to have it organised to be re-shipped the next day. I haven't even seen the blanket as yet, but if their blankets are at the same quality as their customer service, I will be over the moon with it. Thank you Thread the word.”

“Wow - what a great ever-lasting and personal momento We purchased for close family friends who have recently had a baby girl . The cot blanket ordered with her name and a flower was just beautiful … and so personal. We loved giving it to them and they lived receiving it more. Cannot recommend enough - ease of creating and ordering online … and quickly made and delivered”

“I have ordered 2 organic cotton blankets, one for my 7 month old granddaughter who is visiting from London, and the other for her god-sister, 3 months apart in age. There was a bit of mixed up in my address and the parcel was returned. I was so frantic but fortunately Billie from the Customer Happiness Team helped me along the way and resent them by express post to me so that I can gift the blankets before the visitors due to leave Sydney in 4 days' time. I can't express enough my gratitude to Billie and her team for their help. Thank you again, Billie and the Customer Happiness Team, you've made a customer very happy here. As for the blankets, OMG, they look gorgeously beautiful and feel so cuddly comfortable. The fact that they are personalised with the child's names and customised in design made them extra special to just any other blankets available on the market. I love the blankets, and I think every child (& adult) should have one of these blankets at least!! This will be my 'go to' place for future gifts for all those special people in my life. And the best part is - it is Made in Australia! So proud of this label. Thank you to you all at ThreadTheWord for advancing Australia Fair. You have done yourself proud!”
