They are unscrupulous and incompassionate. My two siblings and I had booked thru Trip tickets to Bangkok on Aug 1 2025. My sister was critically ill and I had written to Trip to cancel our flights with supporting documents even enclosing my late sister’s death certificate. 6 months later and more than 20 follow ups Trip still blames Scoot for not paying the full refund. I checked with Scoot and they told me whatever Trip paid to them for our 3 tickets, the full amount was reimbursed to Trip in August. At this moment, Trip only sent me the Scoot vouchers which is about 30% of what we had paid. I can’t believe Trip is so inhumane and denying responsibility. I will NEVER use Trip again and I urge you to think carefully before using them.

Don't use. They deflect blame towards the airline if any changes occur which is bogus because the airline says the ticket holder is the travel agency (trip.com). I recommend not using them. Their customer service is useless too. If immigration rules changes, trip.com won't help you.

My Tokyo–Seoul flight was canceled due to weather. I expected a long process, but actually the refund rules were explained very clearly in the app. No hidden fees, no guessing. The money came back faster than I thought.

I booked a flight from New York to London on Trip.com, honestly a bit nervous at first. But when the airline changed the schedule, I got an instant notification. Refund and rebooking options were super clear. It really felt reliable and trustworthy.

Hotel choices in London were very broad, from budget stays to nicer business hotels. Room descriptions matched reality pretty well, which doesn’t always happen elsewhere.

Payment felt secure, and the app clearly explained identity verification and data use. As someone who cares about privacy, that actually mattered to me. Everything felt compliant and safe.

Just paid 25€ for a Louvre ticket that would've been free for me on the official website. Never use trip.com again.

Of course, you will be in good terms with them until bad things happen they won’t do anything to protect you. Trip.com rescheduled my flight without my agreement. I have a returned trip from HCMC to SIN 12:10pm is my flight, they update my flight to 8:50am and I strongly dispute to that. Trip have the options change for free, I tried change flight with the same day and same airline for free but only option I have is 6am, I have to forced a cancel but Trip.com told me that will be no refund. That’s is ridiculous, after many calls, chats and emails, they can’t convince me to accept the flight changes, Trip.com ACCEPT the rescheduled flight on MY BEHALF????

My family booked an international trip through Trip.com to visit our relatives in Brazil for Christmas 2025 after three years without seeing them. Due to a technical name formatting issue on one of the tickets, we needed support at Vancouver Airport to resolve the situation before departure. Trip.com provided no effective assistance. Instead, Trip.com claimed the issue had to be resolved by the airline, while the airline insisted that only Trip.com, as the issuing agency, could correct the ticket. We were sent back and forth with no resolution until the flight departed. Three passengers were fully eligible to fly, yet no alternative solution (such as partial travel, reissue, escalation, or coordination with the airline) was ever offered. What made the situation even worse is that Trip.com and the airline consistently contradicted each other and shifted responsibility. Some information provided by Trip.com was simply not true, and none of the parties took ownership of the problem. As a result, we lost the entire trip, did not see our family for Christmas, and suffered significant financial and emotional harm. My wife was deeply affected by the experience and is now afraid of entering an airport. For a global travel agency that handles international bookings, the lack of support, professionalism, and transparency was extremely disappointing. I am sharing this to warn other travelers: if anything goes wrong, Trip.com will not assist you and will simply push the responsibility to others.

Trip.com customer service is extremely unhelpful and ineffective if something needs changing. They failed to make a correction to one of the flights I booked which lead to us having to pay for a new flight at an inflated price. This happened a month ago (17 Dec 2025) and they still haven't refunded us for their mistake. Instead they continuously defer, waste my time on the phone (10's of hours) and send me an email every day saying 'Thank you for booking with Trip, please wait another 24 hrs'. It feels like delaying tactics with the hope that I will give up. When they owe me well over £2000 it is unacceptable and appallingly customer service and business practice. My advice is book flights directly with airlines and not with Trip. Even though it may be a bit cheaper through Trip, it's not worth the hassle if things need changing.

Booking trains was as easy as flights. Canceling one was just a tap in the ‘My Bookings’ section. The refund terms were clear

Joined the waitlist for a sold-out train and got a confirmation email a week before departure. So efficient!

They charge so high camcellation fee and they charge 2050 dollars cancellation fee for me and wife flight. They say it is airlines deduction but they wont help or consider even a dollar less due to the emergency reasons too. They are trash. They are there to loot customers and think we are dumb to trust them.
