Avoid Trip.com – terrible experience! I paid ~$1,000 for seat selections when booking 3 tickets as I’m travelling with a baby. Trip.com showed the seats as confirmed, but the next day I discovered on the airline’s site that none were actually reserved. No adjacent seats were available, and Trip.com then cancelled my reservations blaming the airline. I’m now left with no reserved seats and no way to sit together. Completely unacceptable and the issue is not resolved yet.

Booked a flight with Saudia, UK to Thailand. Booking was ok but no help to reserve seats (my partner is disabled) unable to access Saudia site as Trip.com use their email and telephone no for sms, so no access code. To now phone Saudia is 10p a minute. No customer service. UPDATE Having been offered Trip.com by skyscanner as a recommended provider, we booked tickets Birmingham to Bangkok via Jeddah with Saudia After receiving the details we attempted to access the Saudia site as Trip.com couldn't reserve us the seats which are needed for my disabled partner. As Trip.com are the primary contacts this is not allowed. At the 1st attempt at resolution my email as a contact was added, but the system still would not allow access as their email is the primary address. The only way to book seats for somebody with a disability has been to make my email and telephone the primary's, as Trip.com have said “we may no longer get flight updates sent to us, it's up to you to maintain a check”. Such a customer service needs to be made publicly available. No I would not recommend but 1 ☆ is the lowest I can give. God help us if we need any assistance whilst we're travelling. STILL NO RESOLUTION, 3 PHONE CALLS, MULTIPLE 'CHATS" AND NUMEROUS EMAILS. THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER USED. ONCE THEY'VE GOT YOUR MONEY DON'T CARE. WHAT A JOKE THEY'RE CUSTOMER GUARANTEE IS

Please avoid using this company. They took money for a seat we chose(due to health issues), which we never got, airline company said it’s their fault, and they’re saying it’s airline fault. As the result we have a senior person struggling for 10 hours of flight and no compensation whatsoever!

Not worth booking through them! They don't confirm your booking for a couple of days, which made me nervous if it didn't go through. Third parties add more hassle if they mess up your tickets. Trip.com added Mr and Mrs as our middle names when booking, then made it a huge hassle to fix and tried to charge us for it, even though it was their mistake. If the name on your reservation doesn't match, it messes with your mileage plan and blocks you from using TSA precheck global entry. I'll never book with them again. Didn't save us much money.

I would never use the trip app or website again. I tried to make a reservation and entered the incorrect date. I realized after confirming. I explained the issue and was told they would have to contact the hotel to see if they could approve my refund. I called the hotel myself and they agreed to release the hold on my account and not charge a fee or charge me for the one night. I was still charged on my account. I have emails saying I would get a refund but have yet to get my money back. So disappointed

Don’t use this service. If you have any problem and need to do a cancellation even with all the documents they will find excuses and won’t do it. Book directly with the airline for peace of mind.

Trip.com turned our milestone family trip into a disaster. They issued 4 tickets to Zimbabwe—none were valid. One had a duplicated name, making it unusable. Qatar Airways confirmed it could be corrected, but Trip.com refused. Airline references were untraceable, and OTPs were sent to an unknown email. When we tried to cancel within 48 hours, Trip.com stalled us repeatedly. Then—just two minutes after the deadline expired—they refused the refund and said we’d now be charged to cancel. I’ve filed Section 75 claims and escalated to the Financial Ombudsman. If I could give zero stars, I would. Avoid Trip.com at all costs.

I booked a flight through Trip.com and was wrongfully denied boarding due to incorrect and misleading information. I am a Canadian Permanent Resident and had written confirmation from the Consulate of Japan in Vancouver that I was eligible to enter Japan and apply for a shore pass. I presented this confirmation email along with my onward flight details at check-in in Narita, but the staff ignored it and denied me boarding. Trip.com later claimed I could not board without a visa for a one-way ticket, which is factually incorrect. By the time the airline staff responded, the gate had already closed. While the airline rebooked me for the next day, I incurred out-of-pocket costs for hotel, meals, and transportation. Trip.com has refused to provide any compensation despite clear evidence of mishandling.

Bunch of crooks! Refused to refund my £63 for a flight I booked from Bangkok to Phnom Penh. Claimed that the airline (Thai Air) changed the destination from Phnom Penh to some backwater Cambodian airport nobody has ever heard of, and refused to reimburse. Trip.com tried to fob me off with 1500 credits - like I would ever deal with these schmucks again.

I booked through Trip.com and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. Despite several attempts to contact customer service, I did not receive the help I needed to resolve my issue. The lack of clarity and support left me without a solution and without a concrete refund. I strongly advise against this agency for anyone looking for reliable service and effective support.

They charged me full amount when booking as pre-authorization. When I wanted to check in at hotel, I had to pay full amount again. Trip.com must clear it when booking. Very disappointed.

I am a platinum member of trip.com. unfortunately until I had problems with them I never realised that how commercial and greedy they are instead of giving genuine passengers services. My 75 years old father was off loaded due to their wrong information and wrongly sold tickets. He was stranded at the airport for 24 hours not a single unit of trip.com had helped us. Instead this multimillion worth company has been lieing and continuously giving false and confusing information. Be aware of this scam ! If someone is in trouble only they can realise how big scam they are

They sell you flights which after payments change to less wanted flights. They offer no service and only lame excuses pointing to other parties. Never use them, book straight with airlines perhaps a penny more expensive but you get what you want and pay for.

I Was about to post a review on Yiwu ocean hotel which I booked through Trip.Com and to my horror, the system said that a review had been submitted. When I went to the review section, I saw a review posted under my account name and it had given it a perfect 10 score! and as I scroll down the reviews, there are many perfect 10 reviews and some of the info are not true. I had raised a complaint and still waiting for my review to be taken down.
