“The box arrived within fifteen minutes of the time specified. The meat was very well protected and packaged. Thank you for the booklet of tips and recipes. I used my own recipe for jugged hare and with slow cooking the meat emerged very tender and the flavours were rich and succulent. As recommended, warming it up the following day simply added to the flavour. Excellent quality and good service. I shall certainly use this company again.”

“Whilst the quality of meat was good, my order arrived 24 hours later than planned & thankfully being winter, the order was still cool when it arrived. I rang The Wild Meat Co to say it was being delivered 24 hours late & needed it for the date given so had to change my menu which was frustrating. Never heard back from the company having left my message.”
I am sorry that your meat was delayed and that you did not get a response to your answerphone message. Emails are usually more reliable for contacting us out of office hours, but there was not much we could have done if the courier is delayed.
We advised in our order confirmation email sent to you on 9 February that
"Orders are delivered by 24-hour courier, who will endeavour to deliver on the date requested, however delays may occasionally occur, especially during bad weather (e.g. snow) or peak periods (e.g. Christmas). If a potential delay would be an issue for you and you would prefer to amend or cancel your order, please call us ASAP on 01728 687627."
We also advise on our website to order your meat the day before you need it to allow for any delays.

“The Wild Meat Company may be small but they are big on quality, choice, communication, support and delivery. I had excellent responses from Annabel and Robert (so far), with some positive suggestions.
The parcel arrived earlier than expected, the box is very sturdy with the cool bags and wool insulation keeping everything in place and cool.
The meat so far has been delicious. I cooked our wild boar haunch steaks with garlic, mushrooms and Marsala. I rested the meat while making the sauce and it was not only delicious but really tender too. It's probably going to be boar ragu next...
I'm intending to use the wool from the packaging to line my hanging baskets, assuming the weather does finally pick up! (Freezing February at the mo).”
