“The last watch purchased had to be returned as it did not match up to my collection of 800 watches. The description listed on the website didn't match the real world item received.”

“The Trappist-1 is beautiful... but... The date is impossible to read. It is sunk in a tiny hole, and there is never enough light to see it. In addition, even after leaving it exposed to light for a week, other than the main hands, the rest does not really glow in the dark. I'm not crying over it, but I am disappointed.”

“Fun watch at a reasonable price. Only thing is, the “leather” strap is definitely not leather. It feels like some kind of compressed foam. I had an extra leather strap I put on it and have included it in my rotation.”

Hey there! Thank you for your recent review! The strap is 100% leather. There is no foam or filling in the strap. Sometimes you may feel a little bit of the wax that coats the leather to protect, but definitely 100% genuine. Hope that helps and thank you for your support!

“I was tempted by the "mystery watch", and on paper it looked like a great deal. Not sure what to do with a bright orange, super thick watch. I would have traded and upped the ante to spend more on something I thought would make a good graduation present, but they were like "no deal" I went to ebay and to my chagrin there were plenty of examples some new - some from the Xeric website - that were less than what I paid I may yet sell on ebay understanding I won't get my money back. Xeric has some very interesting looking watches, but I suggest you spend 20 minutes comparison shopping. I assure you that you will get a better deal on ebay. I will take my lesson like I deserve it - my grandma told me if I try and get something for nothing, that's just what I'll get - So, I'll take my lumps and there will be one fewer return customer on Xeric”

Hey Paul! My apologies, but all mystery purchases are final sale as noted on the website. We just try to maintain the same message for all customers, to be fair. The mystery items are a random mix of current stock, on a discount and much lower than retail value. Hopefully you can enjoy it after all!

“I like the concept of the watch, but I'm deeply disappointed with the quality of the lume on my watch. When I looked at the site, the images show the numbers light up in the dark. This is not the case at all, only the hands light up, a bit if any.”

Hey Jose, Thanks for your review and recent purchase. It sounds like maybe the lume is not being charged long enough. I would try a cell phone light over the dial for a good 10 seconds. Then take the watch into a dark place and snap a photo. You can send the picture to contact@xeric.com and we are happy to let you know if there's an issue. Generally the lume inquiries we get are resolved with a longer UV charge. Hope that helps!

“While I like the watch I received and knew I was taking a chance with the mystery watch I was very dissapointed to find out that the watch was billed by and delivered by a different website that also has this watch on sale for 299 so didn't save anything at all which was the point of buying a mystery watch to me. If I had known this watch was on sale for 299 I would not have ordered the mystery watch because I would have guessed that is what I would receive and instead put the money towards another watch which I would wear more. There was only a couple automatic watches I really didn't like the coloring of and I couldn't decide which style I wanted so took the chance to save some money and in the end didn't and got a watch that was while a neat watch was at the bottom of my list of what I would have ordered.”

“It’s almost impossible to read the date because it’s so small. The Luminous does not last very long even with the light does not help.”

“My watch is exceptional. My rating is due to the hidden charges on the website. I am ordering from Canada. Website clearly states free standard worldwide shipping over $199. this is not correct. I paid an extra $20 in shipping and then was also contacted by the shipper to advise that I owed duty and taxes. An additional $34.00. There was no mention of this anywhere on the site. very misleading.”

“The watch itself is great though it is unfortunate that the numbering is slightly off. 48/500 instead of 48/50. Also not a fan of the band design but i will be swapping it out for something my style.”

“I had to order it without seeing it first, but thats something i knew. In general its a nice looking watch, but i ordered the red stone dial and there is pretty much no red on it, so it doesnt look as much as the picture. Also looking at it in person, i wish the dial case was a little different. maybe less rounded The packaging was nice, i like the light that was added for the lumen, the rear looks nice, and the style of the hour and minute display is unique.”

“While the watches look fantastic I am not so sure about the build quality. I ordered the mystery automatic watch and received a defect model with loose hands. The customer service communication was on point though and we are going through the return process at the moment. If this watch gets fixed I will update.”

“I’m pretty disappointed lately. I have been ordering some of the mystery watches, and I 1000% get that they’re random; they haven’t been, though. They’ve been the same model with a different color way. 3 times. Maybe that’s not fair, but that’s where I’m at. It’s frustrating. The value of the watches is not more than what they’re being sold for even if I were to pick them myself (but I wouldn’t anyway). I love your watches; I have 8 of them, including an original Xeriscope, and even that’s been a headache to get fixed and repaired. Just a bit frustrated.”

“Watches are beautiful, yes, however, some can be problematic in several of my purchases. But at least Xeric support is prompt and attentive and will resolve any and all issues for you within reason from my experience. They are all definitely conversation starters from both men and women alike. Very unique, bold, and makes a statement.”

“25 euros postage is huge. 11 euro tax is huge. It ends up being too expensive for 2 watch straps. 1st and last time I order not possible to pay fees and taxes for a 3rd bracelet. Damage”

“Ordered both the automatic and the quartz mystery watches. I am not thrilled by either of the watches. The quality is fine, but the watches just do not interest me. I gambled and now have two watches I probably will not wear. Please be careful ordering the mystery watches. I should have paid the price and bought the Tryptych or the Vendetta.”

“I purchased the mystery automatic recently this is my review after a week of ware. I received the green face atlasphere. Some positives would be very interesting to look at, the horween leather band is gorgeous and will patina nicely if cared for, also attractive movement. Some cons would be the back cones out to make it sit above your wrist like a ufo, all roman numerals but the 4 is IIII vs. IV, the sphere would look better inside vs above hands of watch.”
