I said nice blinds because the fabric used is a thin thickness and some came wrinkled on the side at the bottom. I would have thought for the price they would have been a thicker fabric.

I want to start out by saying we have been very loyal Blindster customers and this is the first time I've ever been really disappointed with a purchase. This was my first time buying roller shades as opposed to blinds. First of all they look really cheap, from the fabric to the stitching to the roller part. We did not buy the valance, which I now regret but at the time thought it was way too pricey given that it is automatically included when you purchase blinds. I didn't see how this was any different. It looks super tacky without it, though. Secondly, you can see part of the cardboard roller on the sides of each of them, which shouldn't be the case even without ordering a valance. And third, we've only had them up in my son's nursery for about a week and one of them already broke. It wasn't going up and then just came all the way undone off the cardboard roller. I had to manually roll it back on and now it's just stuck in the down position because it has lost its spring retraction. Super disappointed and would not recommend this to anyone :(

The first set of rolling black out shades were made almost perfect. We had asked for a longer chain as we split a very large front window into 2 shades, and they said it was noted on the order. But it still came as the standard length. Easy fix with some chain and a coupler from Ace Hardware. I am in the process of my second order, but I royally messed up the heighth measurement. They were very prompt and polite, the replacement should arrive soon. So far I have had no orders made to the wrong dimensions.

I was sent the incorrect blinds first time around. With the remake set, the smaller window fit fine, but the larger window did not fit inside the window frame. In all fairness, the window frame has imperfect dimensions...I should have measured better higher into the window frame. I ended up mounting outside of window.

We ordered three of these. All of my window openings are identical - as they should be - the windows are machine made. One of the units did not have enough material. It had exactly the length of material we specified, but they didn't account for the roll on the tube. So, when we tried to close, there wasn't enough material to release the clutch. We checked the length of the shades on the other two, and sure enough, one had an extra 3.5 inches, and the other 6 inches. We advised the company, and they sent a new one. The new one arrived and we tried to install it. This time, the width of the shade was too long. I tried installing it by bending the mounting brackets, no-go. I contacted the company, and advised them of the problem. We were asked to send photos, with tape measure showing the two units side-by-side. We did that, and they authorized another replacement. This time, it arrived. I was able to successfully install it, but his time, I had to bend the mounting brackets to get it in, then bent them back again once installed. It works - and we hope they last. The rating and the story speaks to a quality control issue. The service I received from Kim was excellent - she was out point of contact throughout the process, and always very professional. Can't complain about that.
