They are on a mission, the product does not work well through clothing and therefore is somewhat limited in the clinical environment.

In general a good product: does what is suppose to do. Accompanying earpiece is a bit uncomfortable (I switch the tips with Littman's). Doesn't really work with other earphones, unless they are over the ear headphones. App is too simple and there is no easy way to share the audio files (which will be good for teaching and presentations). EKG leads scratch very easily.

Have only had my Eko Duo for a short time but I am very impressed with it so far. Wonderful audio quality which blows my littmann stethoscope out of the water. Surprisingly small and solid. Unfortunately I am an android user and am still waiting to test the full functionality of this powerful device...

I have now been using the EKO Duo for about 3 weeks. Previously, I have been using the Littmann 3000 electronic stethoscope for about 5 years. I have to say the EKO has been great. I rarely use the Littmann for anything. I like documenting heart sounds in the chart to prove that I actually listened during the visit. Have not recorded breath sounds yet, just heart, so cannot comment on that function. PROS: Sound magnification (I have to use this at the lowest setting, that’s how loud it can get). Feels comfortable in your hand (rectangular shape). Charger works exceptionally well, you just have to lay the stethoscope on it and it charges. This charger actually works, unlike the similar charger for my IPhone, etc. EKG function easy to activate and it syncs about 95% of the time to Dr. Chrono EMR and seamlessly places record on chart. Easy to turn on/off. Charge lasts me for at least a week and I use it on every patient. CONS: EKG seems to tend toward widening the QRS (this may be due to something I am doing, not quite sure yet). Overall, I’m quite impressed and glad I took the plunge and ordered this.

The device is very user-friendly and easy to use. It connected with my phone instantly and was as quickly usable. The one thing that comes to mind (albeit it is early in my experience with the evils) is I think I’d rather have it thicker with a smaller “face”. Not sure how’d that manifest, but the face of it now is a little large.

Great at magnifying all sounds, but because of the bell’s surface area, it also amplifies a lot of artifact noise. Ability to record heart and lung sounds is great, wish it could broadcast sounds on the bluetooth connected cellphone so I could forego the ear piece all together.
